Depending on which set you get. I have not been able to sample the Aviator series, so i can't tell you anything about them. The Hesh series sounded pretty nice, especially for not having a in line amplifier. But the best i have heard so far is the SkullCrushers. They average about $75, but they have an in line amplifier that turns on a miniature sub-woofer in each ear for added bass. The only downside is (at least on mine) the head piece is fairly easy to break. Anything else doesn't really have much for quality. As for the battery drain, no headphone will drain your battery faster or slower. Audio jacks only output a certain voltage at a certain rate, so changing the headphone plugged into said jack wont increase or decrease that output.
