I'm about to start building a website with WordPress, but I don't want it indexed until it's ready to be launched. It's presentation is important, and it will be difficult to get visitors who saw it half finished to come back when it's ready. I want to noindex the site at first to help keep it out of the rankings, but I don't want that to have a negative effect on the rankings after I remove the noindex. Does anyone know if it will?

You can help the HubPages community highlight top quality content by ranking this answer up or down.
That was what i was asking. I want to stay away from just not publishing them because I'm going to be applying for a business AdSense account, so I'll need some posts up before I can do that. I was going to do it through both robots.txt and the head.
If you already have a adsense account, why muddy the waters? Business and personal are the same, maybe try just changing the payee name on your acct to the business name. This would solve your publishing noindex problem.
The business is a NPO, so has to be separate.
