It seems that consumers and business owners alike are being urged by data storage companies to use their products to store personal information, confidential business information, and other forms of data ranging from music to tax records. The storage of data by a third party seems a little odd when the public is being urged to store data by commercial advertisements. Many of these companies offering on-line data storage offer a free megabyte or two but require a fee for any data over the free storage limit. I am concerned about security, theft, access and what happens when company closes.
