   Even though the speed of light is the fastest in the universe, data on the internet considering it scale and throughput, more data moves in one second than does light cover distance in my opinion. Still, light wins when it comes to raw speed in regards to anything.

      I searched on the web. The units of internet speed are different from that of light or sound. It still needs to be compared. Thanks for your thoughts.

   The speed of light is the fastest followed by internet data and rumor.  The slowest is not on your list, the speed of law.

   I know speed of light is the fastest but I am not sure about data on internet, I think it might travel fast than light because technology is very advance may overcome the speed of light or may be already.

      Speed of Light is 299792458 meters per second and that of  sound is 343.2 meters per second but internet speed has not been measured in these units as yet and Medium is also different. Keep watching !

   1) and 4) Light travels faster than anything right now but some scientists have sent particles flying faster than the speed of light using the lhc particle accelerator. If this technology could be applied to the internet then 2) Data on the internet. Actually just wrote a small article on the topic

      No.1, It is not that easy. Try it at HP. Only Media news wrong or right get spread as a rumor. HubPages never allow its platform to be used for spreading rumor.
