What is the difference between a dynamic website and static website?
How do you know by looking at a site whether it's a dynamic website or a static website if the dynamic website is not passing any ID for URL and if the URL ends in simple HTML and there's no php you could see in page source.
Static website :-Content of website remain same .Visitor cant change content of website Example :- ispsingh.com
Dynamic website :- Visitors (Users of website) can change the content of website often with login by creting account.
Example :- hubpages.com ,facebook.com
Is there a way to tell a static website from a dynamic websitein case I am a visitor without any loin or password and there is a dynamic website which doesn't offer visitor login and the content is changed through CMS login and password.
Let me be more detailed. Suppose there is a dynamic website with a content management sytem e.g, a travel portal or an online book store and the content is created through a database and updated through a CMS which is handled by a team of Data entry operators and content writers.
Now the thing is there is no login or password that a user may see when he/she visits the website and that dynamic website will appear same as a static website to a normal visitor since there are no IDs and sessions created in the URL and there is no html or php which could be used to tell them apart.
How am I supposed to tell that one of them is static and the other is dynamic? Think of it as if you are answering a 5 years old...How do I know if a website is static or dynamic without getting into technicalities.
I am asking this because I am working with websites and web development for years but find it really hard to explain the difference to someone who doesn't have much technical knowledge about programming and languages.
Dynamic website is all about an unchanging website with regard to pages and contents while static is all about the contents of the website being updated fron time to time just like you see some kikistat sites, Blogging sites, question and answer sites, job sites and others.
Are you sure? I mean do you really think that a blog site could be static? I think you have just explained the opposite.
Does anyone here agrees with me?
Blogs do have static pages unless one does not know how to set them up.
dear very simple, visitor cannot change the static website, the content of dynamic website can be changed, user can interact with these website, Facebook is a great example of dynamic website.
A static website is one that has web pages stored on the server in the format that is sent to a client web browser. It is primarily coded in Hypertext Markup Language (HTML).
A dynamic website is one that changes or customizes itself frequently and automatically, based on certain criteria.
Dynamic websites can have two types of dynamic activity: Code and Content. Dynamic code is invisible or behind the scenes and dynamic content is visible or fully displayed.
