If I move my blog to another domain how can I prevent pagerank loss?
I currently have a subdomain and would like to move the blog to a domain. However, I have pagerank with this blog and don't want to lose the pagerank. Is there a way to move the blog without losing that.
I don't really think that there's a way to prevent the pagerank loss as the pagerank is associated with your domain and the links pointing to it.If you change the domain, this means that you'll loose all the links that you've been building and the page rank that you currently have.If I was you i'd start a new blog on another domain and create a redirect page from the whole website to the new domain. And by a redirect page I mean a 301 page.I guess that helps out a little bit with your question.
Deni is correct that a 301 page redirect will work. What I would be concerned with is once the redirect is set up the page will take longer to load and Google will penalize that.
What I might be tempted to do additionally is to run the new blog in parallel with slightly spun articles so the new blog can gain momentum. If you have an email list let them know as well. Once your new blog is firmly established then put a 301 page redirect in effect on the old blog.
To get more readers offer something like a report or ebook for free and you will get more email sign ups. Let these people know when you publish and direct them to the new site.
Guest blogging will get you some links and if your writing is good you can get on some high power blogs who will let you place your links in the article. Build traffic and an email list at the same time.
Without turning this answer into a book I would have a strategy especially if page rank is the issue.
I have an article on 301 redirects as well called "How you can easily Cloak your Affiliate Links"
Redirect your blog with the help of 301 redirection method, because 301 redirection is the permanent redirection & passes 90-99% link juice to redirect page.
Use 301 redirection method to redirect your website/Blog to another website or blog. Redirection in 301 passes 90-99% link juice to redirect page.

I did look around to see if anyone else had this problem, but I'm not seeing it anywhere. For about a couple of months now, when I log into my site, instead of it taking me directly to my profile or home page, it says "sorry, this user does not exist". What's with that? ...

Hi. I have a Baby Croc account with Hostgator but the script of the site I originally created now broke and it doesn't justify me paying the monthly hosting anymore. But I have an additional domain with them though, that redirects to a free site and I want to keep it active. They just told me I have...
