   Am I addicted to the internet?
   
   I spend at least 10 hours a day on the computer. I often have trouble pulling myself away from it. It started out slowly, but now I can hardly do anything else without wanting to be on the internet. My physical life has faded away, and my life is now online! Could I be addicted to the internet? If so, what can I do about it?

   If you think you are - you probably are. 10 hours a day is a bit much - maybe you need to budget your time. Get up every 30 minutes and do something different - not only will your posture improve, but your relationships with others will too. Your body also needs exercise beyond your fingers.

   If your internet behavior is causing physical or emotional problems, or is interferring with your personal relationships, it's  definitely time to take a step back and get your "addiction" under control.
   
   If your income is derived from the internet, I could understand long hours online. If not, its time to unplug, take walks, short driving trips, visits to friends, time with the family or pets. perhaps setting a timer/alarm once you reach 4 hrs. It would be hard to go "cold turkey" so try to ease it down over a couple of weeks. You will notice less eye and back pain, and your energy levels should increase as you wean yourself off your over-usage.

   Well , it sounds like you might be , 10 hours is more than a work day . A job might help at least you would have other people to talk too . At least buy a dog that way you will have to walk it , trust me you will walk it .

   If you click on a page that says "YOU HAVE REACHED THE END OF THE INTERNET---PLEASE CLICK BACK " then yes you are addicted....As with any addiction YOU have to make yourself get off the computer.  Budget your time like you would your money.  Have a certain amount of time to be on internet when your time is up,,get off and do other things.

   I spend around 14 hours a day on my computer.
   
   I go to bed around 6am sometimes latter, I wake up...well, when I wake up get something to eat and sit on my computer. Some days I spend almost 24hours straight. Is this good? Of course not. I spend my time playing online games, internet in general, checking my websites and researching more stuff to try to make some buck on the internet.
   
   10 hours a day, for me, is a normal thing, but, I do know im addicted to my computer. It is not only the internet but computer in general, mostly games.
   
   If you live near a coffe shop, make a break, get out. If you can afford to stay too much time on the computer I assume you, dont work, or you have a diferent income. Anyway, treat it like a job is the best thing to do to fight the addiction. It works for me, except when I found out something new to do. I usualy make a break, go eat (sometimes I went to grab food and bring it to my desk), go out to the coffe shop even for 10min drink a beer or a juice or whatever you want.
   
   Also I sugest not to do my mistake. Staying awake all night and sleep by the day.
   The worst thing is that we are many hours sitting down. That causes problems. I learned to move more and make time schedules to myself, to eat, to go out, shopping, etc. My computer time is "work time for me". Still, im addicted for sure, but try to control it.
