There's a multi-part answer to this:
1. It takes time and involvement on Pinterest to get organic followers. You definitely need to follow a lot more than 30 people. I spent years building up my following and now it's at almost 28,000 people. But I worked very hard to get there.
2. Even if you have a lot of followers, it's important to have "pinnable" images that are appealing to people on Pinterest. Marketing-type and strictly informational images usually don't fly. It's a very visual site, so you need to pin images that link to your site that people actually want to repin.
3. Having said that, I'm sure there's some SEO value to your pins, even if other people don't pin them. But as with all links, they take time to blossom.
BTW, you can speed up the process of getting followers by using Pinwoot.com, which allows you to generate more followers for free.
Hope this helps!
