I'm a PC guy, but my phone is an Apple iPhone. Not sure why? But being the job that I'm in, I use both and I can tell you that fixing things on a PC is by far a lot better than an Apple. In regards to compatibility, a PC is far more compatible with other business and applications out there because in the "working" world, PC's still are dominant. Servers are predominantly built on PC platforms (Linux, Apache, etc.). Viruses are indifferent. Any platform can get a virus. It's been proven that a Mac can get infected. As a person that knows computers, there's nothing that a Mac can do that my PC cannot do. Sure, there's no "iMovie" or "Garage Band," but there's a ton of alternatives out there.
What it comes down to is what you need for yourself. Buy what you want. It's your money.
