Certain programs change your default search engine. Is there a way to block them?
They change your basic settings, even your home page, without your permission or even without your knowledge. Even if you have the best antivirus programs installed. They show dirty ads. It is very difficult to get rid of them. Most of these are spy software which study your online behavior and send secret reports back to them. In your opinion, as a large community, how we hubbers should react to these anti social elements? One way is to boycott all the products and services displayed. Another is to share a list of web sites from which your PC got infected. Experts, please help.
I always jot down the names of any website that causes those kinds of problems and avoid them in the future. It's easier said than done, but the best way to avoid that situation is to only visit what you know to be reputable websites. I used to surf all over the web; however, that has changed. Sites at which you can download music and videos or play games seem to be the worst for getting "attacked".
Also, check the settings on your anti-virus program, your internet connections, and your computer firewall. If you use Windows, the latter can be found in your control panel. Although more strict settings will sometimes cause some sites not to work properly, they'll help keep those unwanted spyware and malware programs off your computer.
Thank you very much Sheilamyers. The idea is to have a common database of these kinds of substandard websites.

I wonder if anyone else has noticed that hub scores have to be sorted manually in order to see them in numerical order every time you go to the stats page. Strange, I have never had this happen before.
