    Internet/ Mobile phones!
There can be many more--- depends on each individual. But Internet is universally addictive, I believe.

There are so many things that are addictive today due to new technology like online games, online gambling, online dating, online social media, online writing which I do, use of mobile phones and computers, candy crush games, and drugs. There are so many things that are addictive including food, shopping, gambling, smoking and the one and most dangerous one to me is taking drugs. So many addictions this days, not only one.

    The Internet.
People spend more time using their cell phone for Internet functions than they do for talking to people!
They're checking emails, Face Book, Twitter, and other social media in addition to sending photos to friends or watching movies.
"A day without Internet access is like a day without sunshine!" LOL!

Given the huge rise over the last 10 years - technology. Even though anything can technically be addictive, I would say we have become most reliant and therefore, miss it when it doesn't work/isn't there, is modern technology.

I feel quite sad about it actually. Everything has become less personal which saves a lot of time in many cases but as a whole, will eventually have a detrimental affect on social skills I believe. We spend more time on social media than actual human interaction.

We do everything online, you see babies playing with ipads... we don't view it as a bad thing because of it's positive consumer uses and part of many people's routine i.e. in an office at a computer 8 hours a day. We accept it.

It's a slippery slope so we need to be more sceptical about new technology and actually question if we really need it. Things like Google Glass are the epitome of what has become wrong with the way technology is going... it becomes about data, marketing and ultimately a global invasion of privacy.

Exactly, it became a routine. I remember the first time I use the internet, it was my college days. Internet explorer, MIRC chat, eudoramail.
