Why do people want to hack the internet?
There is no reason to hack the internet!!
1. If you hack a government server with proprietary information, especially nations like China and Russia, they get all the information that used to require massive amounts of spying.
2. Hackers that hack websites to steal credit card numbers can use that information to steal from those people.
3. If you hack a website to install software on the visitor's computers to take them over, you can use their computers to send out spam email or store illegal files - in short, commit crimes that are traced back to the machines you hacked.
Not all hacking is the same.
Clearly there are criminal hackers looking to get financial information, social security and credit cards numbers for the purpose of stealing.
There are also personal hackers who may not trust their spouse or significant other and desire to snoop around to see if they're cheating. Others are "stalkers" targeting (email & social media)
There are government agency hackers looking to solve or prevent crimes as well as spy on other nations.
Last but not least there are hackers whose primary goal is to shut down the world of many if only for a few hours or minutes. These people plant viruses, malware, and Trojan horse email links just to see how far it spreads. Releasing nude photos of celebrities.
It's just their way of having "fun".
The bigger the entity is that's shut down/exposed the better.

I had been followed and my accounts everywhere being abused by unscrupulous and conscience-less hackers since May of 2011. I again everyone! I wanted to suggest another Weekly Topic of Inspiration about "Taking the Offensive Against Hackers." These days, we all know that we should use updated antivirus and firewall software to help keep "malware" out of our PCs. That's a given. But what ELSE are we...

How do you think you would cope without cell phones, computers and the internet?Just a thought. I grew up with no running water, a party line telephone, and two channels of tv. I know I enjoy all the gadgets but would be able to survive quite well without them. Ha ha it's ironic I'm posting...
