That would depend on what's wrong with it. Is it a paper feeding problem? A problem with the ink?
I had a Lexmark printer several years ago that was a piece of pure rubbish. I had mental images of drop kicking it out the door. It took the paper crooked and spit out skewed images no matter what you did to it.
Now that Lexmark is owned by Hewlett Packard I think maybe their products have improved. I like HP very much and have had good luck with their products.
In fact Lemark is a subsidary of IBM. They have recently merged with Ricoh to form a company called Infoprint. IBM still retain an interest in this and Lexmark are one of HP main rivals.
The answer to the question is hard though as you have not specified what is wrong with the machine.
