I would need to know more about your problem, including the make/model of your computer. Usually backup and recovery cds will take your computer back to factory standards, which would mean you would have to reinstall all of your programs. I would not recommend doing this if you are having problems with your computer. If at all possible, I would use your Windows 7 disc. If you can boot from the CD, start the Windows 7 installation, and go to "Repair". This will usually fix most problems.
