I remember just 7 years ago I had never done much on a computer except play an occasional game on a friends or family members. Now days though my online life has grown leaps and bounds to include sites of this nature for the purpose of creating revenue. If I lost it I'd live, but I sure wouldn't be happy about it as this is growing to be something I enjoy immensely and brings me more of a sense of accomplishment than anything else I've got going in my life right now. I know kind of sad, lol, but not really!

Pretty ok, I usually don't make friends online, I only have acquaintances.

I would not have considered retiring then. Internet has been my alternate activity since I retired from teaching in 2008- to continue socializing, educating myself, and not live in an idle rut. This gives me back my self-esteem and self-worth for the experiences I'm enjoying today in the internet. I just pray that those brownouts that impair my connections be put to an end. Meanwhile, I switch to my second passion- gardening- when  the light goes out.

Internet is the main way I keep my kids in touch with my family, via skype. We live 800 miles apart,,,,, So, I would hate to lose it right now, plus, as a stay at home mom, I am hoping to find someway to work online to help with out with bills, because I can't afford to send them to day care and right now we are struggling to stay on top..

Well there will be more time to talk face to face with people that interest us, that's for sure. Good question! I'm going to walk my dog and while I'm doing that i will really think about this.

I have no clue! I have actually asked myself the same question. I know I would be out of a job as of right now, but I think there would be a lot more jobs to go around...less outsourcing! Which would probably in turn help the us economy. Keeping the work and revenue here instead of sending it everywhere else.

More time doing real things and less time reaching to people who lives far away.  Will have less strain on the eyes and better bed time schedule.  Will miss the comparison shopping a lot and will try to find the real way to make money instead of trying to earn it online.

If we consider the present situation I think life is not normal without internet connection since most of us earn money from the internet.

The internet is something we take for granted and is now part of everyday life. We use the internet to socialise via networking sites, book holidays, referencing information and even have a pizza delivered to the door. Its got to the point where we... read more

The Internet allows me to keep learning without having to pay college or university fees. It is about the only avenue to keep in touch with family. It gives me creative freedom that would be hard to access any other way. My life would be extremely limited without it and I am very thankful that I have it.

I think Internet is not Everything to do.. Ya that's true that if you want to connect with more at the same time then Media sites and Internet Connection is the main thing..

Not as knowledgeable but less stressful!! I have learned so much from this fast pace data base at my finger tips, but the time also wasted creates stress in other areas.... if it went down, I think more strolls in the park and warm tea to a book instead of coffee to the Monitor, might ease my stress levels...LOL

I'd probably fall apart. Ironically, I don't do much online except write here on hubpages.com and the occasional casual online game, but I'd probably get bored, since I surf the net instead of watching TV. tongue

As some have already said, it wasn't this way for a long time. I started really getting into the internet after I turned 18. Before then I only used the connection to look up homework related things.
