Best 3D Monitors

Updated on December 7, 2013

Are you looking for cool 3D Monitors to buy in 2013

Despite reports that suggests that 12 % of the people who use 3D displays don't see the images clearly owing to health issue and the report of mild headaches another fewer percentage have reportedly experienced, the use of 3D monitors is becoming more prevalent-which is understadable. 3D displays make images look real, so make watching movies and playing video games more exhilarating experience.

The information in this lens is meant to be a guide for those of you that prefer playing games or watching movies on 3D screen and might be looking to buy one in the near future.

Choosing a 3D Monitor

  1. Decide what you need the monitor for. Some monitors are better suited for movies than gaming and vice versa.
  2. Read reviews like you are doing now. It is best read reviews from websites or writers that don't have a link to the manufacturing companies.

Acer GD235HZ

Acer GD235HZ is a superb gaming monitor. It refreshes at a very fast rate and offers an excellent vibrancy. it comes with OSD capabilities, trifecta connections and a three year warranty that covers some of the vital parts. The 3D vision glasses make the screen look darker than when viewed normally. I recommend it if you are looking to play more games on your 3D monitor than watch movies.

Samsung PX2370

The Samsung PX2370 is the best monitor for general use because it does everything very good without being excellent at any of them. it has an LED backlight, 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. it has a very good brightness and is suitable for playing video games.

The power consumption of this monitor is on the low side. It drew in 25.01 watts in a power test 5 watts and 17 watts lower than the XL2370's and SyncMaster S23A750D respectively. However, it lacks ergonomic features.

Samsung SyncMaster S23A750D

This is an incredible monitor to use for gaming and watching movies. It has a unique foot stand and comes with an ergonomic option. The Samsung SyncMaster S23A750D displays very glossy screen, making it very ideal for watching movies.

The power consumption of this monitor is on the high side. It draws a whooping 42.9 watts power when operated in a Default/On power state and is estimated to cost around 13 dollars per year in power bills- twice the amount the PX2370 would cost. It's game support is a bit under par when compared with Nvidia- compatible monitors
