What Is The Best Budget Digital Camera for Fast and Easy eBay Pictures

What is the best digital camera for eBay pictures when you are just getting started? This is just one of the questions that you must ask yourself when setting up as a seller on eBay. You might also ask: What product to sell? Should I list it as an auction or fixed price item? What's the best way to ship? What sort of return policy should I have?

These are all very important questions when you are setting up an eBay store, but there is one question that plays a big role in the success of your eBay business and is often overlooked. What budget digital camera is best for eBay pictures ? Although it may not seem very important at first, to become a successful seller, it is worth doing some research and the investment.

Here Are a Few Of the Best Small Digital Camera Deals - Always do your research before making a purchase

The Camera You Use Makes All the Difference

Pictures, pictures, pictures!

There are so many choices out there that it can be overwhelming. First off let me just say that you don't need a big expensive professional DSLR rig to get the pictures you [want/need]. I don't want to make any photography buffs out there mad by saying this, but sometimes you just don't need all those settings or customizations to take good, high quality pictures. So again I say what is the best digital camera for eBay pictures?

Nikon COOLPIX S4300 16 MP Digital Camera with 6x Zoom NIKKOR Glass Lens and 3-inch Touchscreen LCD (Black)

I have found that a good medium price range digital camera can do a great job for eBay pictures. I say medium price range because remember you are making an investment in your business so you don't want to go with the most bottom dollar unit out there.

If you try to take the cheapest route, you'll just end up frustrated and disappointed in the results. Trust me on this one, I've been down that road. So I usually recommend cameras in the $150 range. You might find one on sale around $100 or you might want to spend closer to $200 for a particular feature you like. Either way you should be alright.

Digital Camera Accessories

You need the right tools for the job...

Tripod-Without a tripod you will constantly be dealing with blurred and out of focus pictures. It is amazing the difference this can make. This is another item where you will want to avoid the cheapest option. Generally you will want a tripod that is at least 48" tall when extended. Finding a good quality tripod in the $20-$25 range shouldn't be much of a problem. Again like with the camera you can spend more on it, but unless you have something particularly in mind you probably won't need to.

Background- The background you use can make all the difference in the world when it comes to taking good eBay pictures. There are a variety of options when it comes to getting the right background set up, and I will go over some of them later.

But the important thing to remember is that generally you will want a dark background for light to medium colored items and a white background for darker colored items. You can use sheets to start but you should invest in a good setup before too long.

Photography Backdrops for Every Budget - Remember- Good Pictures Sell...

If you are only selling one or two products on eBay you really don't need to invest in the tools for taking pictures. However if you are setting up to become a seller on eBay, you really need to invest in a good set-up for your pictures to become successful. It will pay you in the long run to get started on the right foot rather than waste your time taking pictures that don't result in sales.

Lighting for every budget...

Lighting - This is an area that really goes almost hand in hand with choosing the right background. And like backgrounds there are several different options to go with. If you have a good space with natural light then you can use that, but it does limit your photo taking abilities depending on what time of day and the weather. I have found that the best way to control your lighting set up is using fluorescent lamps with high color temperature "daylight" bulbs. I'll get into more specifics in later posts.

Important Features for Digital Cameras for eBay

If you are using your camera for eBay chances are you are using it indoors. For indoor pictures having a camera with a zoom more than 3X is really not necessary. A features that is important is a good macro lens for those close up pictures. To do away with those blurred shots, you need to find one with a good optical image stabilizer. If accurate colors are important, then you will need a camera that has a good white balance for indoors.

These features are just a few of the tips that will help minimize issues with your eBay photos. If you are not sure if a camera has the feature you are looking for, be sure to do some research and ask questions before you buy. It will save you both time and money!
