MacBook Pro Retina Is The Best Laptop On the Market

Updated on August 19, 2017

Best Laptop On The Market

The best laptop on the market today is by far the MacBook Pro with Retina Display. The release of this never seen before high resolution display makes both text and images look lucid and readable. This laptop comes with a new lightweight body and incredibly performance enhanced components. These include new HDMI ports and USB 3.0. The MacBook does however lack a Ethernet jack and Fire Wire. This obstacle can be overcome by simply using wireless internet access which is almost common nowadays anyway. The lowest price for a MacBook pro is around $2199 however, quality comes with the price.

Specs For the MacBook Pro With Retina Display

Processor ----------- Intel 2.3Ghz Intel Core i7-3610QM (New third generation quad processor)

Memory ----------- 8GB RAM, 16 MHz DDR3

Hard Drive----------- 256 gigabytes SSD hard drive

Chipset -------------- HM77 from Intel

Graphics ------------- intel HD 4000/ GeForce GT 650M from NVIDIA

Operating System-------------- OS X Lion 10.7.4

Dimensions------------- 14.1 X 9.7 inches

Height-------- an astounding 0.7 inches. looking forward to seeing a paper thin laptop in the future.

Diagonal Screen Size--------------15.4 inches

Weight without AC adapter-------------- 4.6 pounds

Weight with AC adapter ----------------- 5.6 pounds

The Retina Display

The resolution of this screen is 2880 X 1800 pixels. This is by far the greatest ever. The greatest resolution for an average windows laptop is 1920 X 1080. This is the same as a high definition television. This resolution can make text so small that you need a magnifying glass to read them. Apple however, has found a way to solve this issue. They approached the situation the same way they did with the 3rd generation ipad. The just changed the dot pitch. A high resolution screen like this now forces all software manufacturers to update their software to support this insanely high resolution screen. Truly a great characteristic for the best laptop on the market.

My Conclusions And Additional Commentary On the Best Laptop On The Market

I think it's truly a godsend that apple has included the new third generation intel core quad processor with the MacBook Pro with Retina display. I think memory at 8GB is really nothing to complain about. The screen size may be a bit big for a portable laptop to take everywhere. For total portability a 13 inch is probably preferred however, I think the low thickness and weight make up for that ten folds. It's obvious that most software right now can't support a 2880 X 1800 pixel screen. However, I think this is temporary. This is just the norm. Apple sets an astounding benchmark and everyone follows suit. This is truly the best laptop on the market right now. Nothing can compare with the resolution.
