Chrome Web Browser

Updated on August 20, 2013

The Newest and Simplest Web Browser for me: Chrome

Google has a web browser too and they named it, Chrome. Mozilla Firefox is used to be the King of all browsers until Google decided to compete with it. Now Chrome and Firefox are two of the best browsers which people use often in their browsing as well as surfing.

Note: I am not comparing them and tell you which is better. As a matter of fact, I love these two browsers. If you're into simplicity, go for Chrome but if you're into wanting thousands of free add-ons, go for Firefox. Actually, Chrome has free add-ons too. So it's up to you, what browser you will use.

First, What Can I Tell About Google

My opinion on Google

I don't know what Google is planning because they almost dominate in many existing things in the market. Google has web browser, operating system, search engine/database, email services, bought YouTube, offers social networking site in a form of Google+ and many others that your mind can think of.

Everyone knows Google and they consider it as their friend. Whenever they have a question or query that needs an answer, they delve into Google search engine, type in and get results to what they're looking for in an instant.

I'm not against with their plans because everybody seems loving it. Google likes simplicity too. Anyway, let's go back to our main topic, Chrome Web Browser.

Where to Download Chrome?

Chrome Official Site

Where do you get this Chrome browser? I will show you where you can download it and install it on your computer. Here is the Official download site of Google Chrome (as of August 22, 2012).

After you get it, double click it with your mouse and start the installation process. It will take about 1-2 minutes to complete before you can use it.

You will also notice that this web browser is so simple: meaning there are no complicated stuff in it like cluttering the interface with so many things. Google staff let it that way because they focus in speed and performance while developing it.

Hope you have a best experience in using it.

Features I Like About Chrome

You may already know them but just in case

Here are some of the things I love from this browser. I hope there are more to add aside from these three.

The first thing I like in Chrome is the ability to surf internet without leaving traces, history marks and others. It's not new actually because other browsers have incorporated this feature. This feature is called new incognito stuff. You may access it by clicking on 'wrench' icon, and select "New incognito window". It will open new window with a detective logo on the top left on it. Start browsing without worrying your confidential info is being saved on that browser.

Another feature I love is (for developer stuff) you can see things behind a certain site / website. If you want to analyze specific website and know how webmaster designed it, you may access and view their html, css as well as javascript. It is for educational purposes only so if you're interested to know and learn from them, use developer tools of Google Chrome.

And last but not the least is the ability to install thousand of free add-ons. You may customize the way you use Chrome, its look and feel and make it a one stop reference of all useful apps that you will need. Make the best out of it as they say.

@TimmyGriffin: Recently, I encountered a bug in Google Chrome. Don't know if it's just only me or everyone encountered that as well. The bug won't let me load other sites properly. Anyway, I haven't used Google Chromium. Is that a new browser or what?

I switched to Chrome, because it is very fast for my work. I can open at least 30 tabs on it and I can view them all, with Mozilla that isn't possible. I'm sure that they have a add-on to correct that, but with all of those add-ons slow down the browser work and becomes like lag. I also use Google Chromium.
