Honey badger (crackhead)
Oh that crazy honey badger, he's everywhere, especially at the POD 's
He doesn't care, he's nasty, he doesn't give a s&%t.
He is the famous Honey badger and he doesn't care,
thanks to Randall, the gentlemen that humorously
Narrated the honey badger videos. His honey badger
and honey badger sayings are flooding Cafepress
Honey Badger, the crackhead
Where's my pipe?
I was getting a little sick of the Honey Badger t shirts and gifts on Cafepress and Zazzle. So I decided to do a spoof on it.
When I first got on Cafepress a couple months ago, I was baffled at all the Honey Badger items. Why was the Honey badger so popular. I didn't get it. For weeks I would see it as top search or most sold, but I didn't know why. Then I stumbled on the video narrated by "Randall", who is now famous and viral, because of his honey badger videos. I have to say, those videos are very funny. So now I know what the fuss was all about, but I still didn't know why everybody and their brother was jumping on the band wagaon. Hey, I get it, if something is selling and you have a right to it, then jump on it. I mean, after all, you can't copyright an animal can you?
So after seeing all the same shirts by different people with the same sayings over and over, I decided to jump on the bandwagon, but with a twist. I'd go Honey Badger mania. No stone unturned. Rabbi Honey badger, Mullet honey badger, Dead head Honey badger, on and on,
I even went with Anorexic Honey badger, but the graphic didn't come out that well and the subject matter was iffy. I also went with Malibu honey badger, but Zazzle pulled that one. I guess because I used the Malibu Barbie car on the graphic. I didn't use the name Malibu Barbi, just Malibu. I guess having the trademark car was enough.
As of now the shirts have not sold,(update: I took all honey badger items off my account) but I'm still new, so who knows. I did post to Randall and told him I'd pull the items if he was against this and I only did that because he left a post about how angry he was about Cafepress and Zazzle leaving the shirts and other Honey badger material up, when he asked them to take them down. Again, I don't think you can copyright and animal, but the whole saying "Honey badger don't care" could possibly be copywritten. As of now Randall, has not responded to me. I'm sure I'm the least of his worries, considering the amount of Honey badger stuff out there. I'm sure you've seen it, it's everywhere,
So, as of now, I'll keep plugging along with my silly take on the honey badger, I'm sure there's so many more I could do, without infringing on rights.
