If you need to type or windows compatible applications, then you'll need Duo. If you just need to go through emails, internet or social networks pick the IPad...

DELL DUO ALL THE WAY! Far better than any Apple rubbish! Think about it why do people buy Apple products? It's just so they can say "yeah I have an iphone, ipad or ipod" to just sound cool and have a designer item. Practical the DUO is FAR better!

Having recently bought the Duo I am so glad I did as I am more of a PC user, so the added features won hands down. Apple iPad is obviously limited compared with a PC based system like the Duo and in all honesty I like the iPad but need the capabilities and features of the Duo more when I am on the go.

Overall (personally) I would give the Duo 9 out of 10 and the iPad just under 8 out of 10.

Ipads and Inspiron Duos are two different devices. iPad does no computing, no programming, it is not a PC, it's a gadget when does not have cell access. It has a nice light weight sleek format of gadgets to come. However, with the Duo having an external DVD or a liveDVD in a 32Gb USB one can do things you can't in the iPad. And you need a programming computer like a MacBook Pro to create the iPad apps. With the Duo one can create your own apps. The iPad is fast, the Duo not so. And in the Duo one can use a stylus to teach (there are many teaching lecturing apps in Win7 but not for iPads, not yet). So one can have both, the iPad to entertain, the Duo to work. Although I prefer a full blown convertible tablet pc like the Fujitsu's or Lenovo's.
