Updated on August 22, 2014

Looking for Easy to Use Digital Camera?

More than ever before it is easy to pick up a camera, take some super pictures and offer them for sale online. Here I'll show you how you can earn a little passive income and review the best selling, easy to use digital cameras. You don't have to be a professional to succeed and the improved technology in cameras these days can take some terrific photos.

Right now the ones included here are the best digital cameras, especially for anyone who has trouble with electronics or who just don't want the fuss of anything complicated. Elderly people and very young children often have trouble with gadgets but these ones are specifically designed to be easy to pick up and use plus large buttons and you have a result! Simple!

With the advent of the digital age photography is more and more accessible to people so it is little wonder many think of turning a hobby into a paying passtime or even a full time profession. Here I show you how to make a start on earning some money on-line. It is not a get rich quick scheme, like anything worthwhile it takes time, patience and skill.

If you are serious about earning money from your digital camera the internet is the easiest place to start. There are a number of companies who are looking for images to sell on to web designers, graphic artists and magazine editors. But the photos have to be something these people can sell on, so must be taken with a commercial view in mind. I'll let you in the secrets a bit lower down.

What you need to get started

  1. Obviously a digital camera - you can start with a simple one but I suspect as you get hooked you will want to upgrade it. You need to check with the company concerned as to whether images from your particular camera are suitable. It usually depends on the megapixels available for best reproduction but since even mobile phone cameras have 12 it shouldn't be a problem. Most companies state plainly which camera images are unacceptable.
  2. A computer with broadband access. Downloading needs to be speedy.
  3. A PayPal account. It is simple to set up and you can then accept money from anywhere in the world. Be sure to read the guidelines of the site you are submitting to.
  4. Good Organisation: I can't emphasise this enough. You will be submitted large numbers of photos, probably to different sites so get organised right at the beginning.

Create a dedicated folder in your email for selling photographs.

Make sure you take a note of the user name and password you use for each separate company right at the start, don't wait until you join a few or it will get complicated to remember.

Create a separate folder for each company, keep track of which ones you have submitted, to which company and whether they have been accepted or rejected. If they are rejected - bin

What srock photo companies want

Things to keep in mind

The most commonly bought images are people; senior citizens, children, white, black, Asian, Hispanic, Indian; situation shots or actions shots being those needed. For most sites you need a model release form signed for each series of photos you take of a person in which their face is recognisable. In the case of children, it must be signed by a parent or guardian. Do be careful of the photographs you take - the days when you could get away with candid shots are long gone. That said, a polite enquiry if it is okay to take their picture will usually result in delighted acquiesce.

Also popular are food, sports, sexy, family, gym, spa, massage, therapies, money, business and office related photographs.

1. Good sharp color

2. A sharp clear subject

3. The Image must be in focus

4. An interesting clear subject

5. A subject that is conceptual/commercial

6. A subject that is fun

7. A subject that is unusual

8. A subject that is attractive

9. A subject that is active

For a Fast and Easy Start to Selling Your Photographs

If you, like me, are impatient to see your work appearing on the internet and indeed earning money I suggest you start with Triond. The rewards are not extensive but it is a good start and a good place to begin building a portfolio.

PICABLE:This is a self publishing site where you can submit photographs, when

they are picked up and published you share in the royalties which come

mainly from advertising alongside your photograph.

There is also a friendly site at REDGAGE that is easy to use and has a friendly community.

You don’t earn huge amounts – very little in fact – but they are great to get started and to help you build experience.

Sell your photographs to Microstock Companies

Microstock companies are those that hold millions of images for sale to business, web designers, book editiors etc. It is as well to note that the standard of photography required by these companies is high. Each company detail exactly what sells and what doesn't and their reviewers will not hesitate to reject any image they think is substandard or without content merit.

You can shop around for great easy to use camera on Amazon - Here's a few I've found and can recommend

If you are looking for a camera you don't have to fiddle with, you're probably not all that interested in all those numbers they throw at you - but if you are - click the link and you can read all about it and see any customer reviews Amazon has up on each item.

Fujifilm FinePix AX560 16MP Digital Camera
Fujifilm FinePix AX560 16MP Digital Camera

OK _ I promised no techy stuff but I will just say this camera produces clear pictures with a 16 megapixel resolution - the more megs you have per inch the clearer the picture so just trust me - 16 is a great number. The only reservation I do have with this one is that it runs on AA batteries that can gobble up juice at an alarming rate - to resolve that just make sure you carry extras with you and go for rechargeable batteries to save money and save landfill etc.

I always look for the good brands when it comes to cameras and of course Canon is right up there at the top. This one has all the functionality you need and want, and it is easy to operate too. This one also gives you the option of using the large LCD screen to line up your shots or you can use the veiwfinder. More info when you click.

Nice information! It is also good to have an eye for composition, if you are going to photograph food or items on a table. To work with daylight is the best but to have a knowledge of lighting will come in handy if the day is overcast or stormy and the light is dim.
