What are the advantages of ''jailbreaking'' your apple products (iphone/ipod)??
Well, it allows you to use your product the way Apple didn't want you to use it, like installing your own software and so on.
To add onto what Entexion said, it allows you to get all the apps in the app store for free. It can save you a lot of money in the long run if you are the type that buys a lot of apps
