   Will your next computer be a laptop, a tablet or a netbook?
   
   With new devices coming out every week, some are predicting the demise of one type or another. Will laptops emerge as the winner?

   None of the above.  I'm only interested in owning a "desktop" or "tower."  You can get more computing ability for less money that way, and besides all of that - a desktop fits my needs exactly.

   I usually use a laptop now and my wife often only uses her iPad.  Currently, there are limitations to the iPad (only a virtual keyboard or small add-on keyboard that are hard to use with my fat fingers).  But, most of the things I do daily on my laptop can be done on an iPad or iPhone for that matter.  I have the HubPages app on my iPhone, but I wouldn't want to type a Hub with that keypad.  Since I do not plan to purchase a new device for at least a year or two, I'll wait to see how things develop. But, I will keep an open mind to the options as the devices evolve.

   I have both but prefer my iMac.  If I was going to buy new, I would get another Mac desktop. I really love it. I also have an iPad but use it for other things.

   Mine will be a laptop with good productivity features and powerful hardware.
   
   I like the idea of tablets, but they are not suited for my type of work and still are more of an entertainment device. My Android phone serves that function just fine.

   Thanks for responding! It is interesting to see so many preferences. I have a netbook, HTC thunderbolt and an old laptop. I like the laptop for work at home, but love the mobility that the other two provide.
