I joined Hubpages to learn how to earn additional income online in my spare time. Now I am earning a little bit more each month. I started to create Blogs in addition to using Hubpages. How about you? Does anyone Blog anymore?
I'm so happy to hear people do actually blog still. I feel it's a great way to generate a new URL to promote to the search engines. It helps Hubbers like ourselves increase our traffic to our Hubs. Thanks everyone.
Oh yes, I have 6 blogs all together. Some of them are niche blogs and 1 is a internet marketing blog.
yeah i use free blogs and plan to start a wp site soon.its going to be fun.
Yes, I have a blog (actually 2) that can be found on my profile page. I am using it for a particular niche rather than writing a diary.
Thank you so much for posting a reply here at the Blog Forum. I joined a couple of websites from your Hubs Profile and this week going to write many scoops. Thank you for sharing.
yes quite a few hubbers blog also, and backlink to their hubs from their blogs. i keep meaning to start up my blogs but am just too busy...but i know it's a wise thing to do.
Yes, I've got 8 blogs I try to keep updated and 30 others I update when I can, they are quite useful to backlink to your hubpages if relevant to your topics that you write about.
I generally like the blogging format, as they are usually easy to use and to write thoughts about projects and stuff.
Yes - I have a blog (mentioned my profile page).
I do a sort of daily zodiac horoscope blog, using tarot cards for each of the star signs...
I chat a bit about what's going on in my life and link to my hubs and my other websites.
I've been blogging for a few months, but only been on Hubpages for a couple of weeks!
nooooOOOOOOOOOps!
I believe hubpages is worth blogging... But bloggers are cooOOOOl...
I love blogging -- it's great when posting about subjects that have little commercial interest, but may be a fun read anyway.
Hi,
I do agree many people use Blogs for fun. I use Blogs for commercial use. I have Adsense, Kontera and Chitika ads all over my Blogs. I'm happy I started this Forum about Blogs. Many people still do use them. Have a great day.
I blog but I like using hubpages and other sites too - the more the merrier imho! (Providing what you write is interesting, of course!)
Yes, I have one. Incredibly boring and no doubt refreshingly futile. Not monetized and even if I was daft enough to do so, I'm sure Google would shudder as it's bots passed over.
Hi,
I use Blogger.com which have Adsense, Kontera and Chitika ads on all of my Blogs.
Here is a tip. In the edit section on the bottom right you will see a field to place Labels into it. Labels are considered keywords. Many of my blogs are listed in Google and other search engines.
Yes I do use blogs in addition to hubpages and I find bloggers cool. Similar to hub pages you can make money online from blog, just need to have an adsense accout. Remember quality, fresh content will naturally bring visitors to your post.
Fresh content is the key to creating new URLs/web addresses. Good point.
I think blogs can be good for personal topics. I have one where I post public pictures of friends and family mainly. I also have another that is mainly on professional related topics.
yes, I have a blog, it's nice to have a place to write creatively about more personal topics, I plan to change the theme soon, it's where my creative writing is. will make another one soon to use more as a daily blog.
May I suggest Blogger.com. It's so user friendly and you can also place Adsense and Kontera Ads on them. Good Luck.
I have 3 blogs but they are about specific topics and focus, namely shipping, international transport. Also the search engines pick them up and rank them higher sometimes than your own site.
Yes, the search engines do pick up Blogs. I use Blogger.com and do submit keywords to it. In the edit section of Blogger.com you will see a field on the bottom right for you to put in Labels. Blogger uses the word Labels for keywords.
I have two blogs but only one is updated regularly
You can find them on my profile
I am just now starting to blog . I wanted to pester everybody here first though !
Wow, you have been a member of Hubpages for a while and you have a score of 100. That is great.
Are you going to try Blogger.com? It's so user friendly just like Hubpages.
Yes i have a blog too.
Blogger.com allows ads to be placed but what i find difficult is about the template. Many blogger.com template out there does not really have navigation tabs and not as professional looking template.
Wordpress.com has nicer looking template yet they do not allow you to place ads unless you have your own domain and you link it to them.
I've heard about Wordpress. I should look into that. Blogger.com in the beginning I didn't use it properly but now I know how to make a Blog look professional. It does take time to learn like everything else.
Yes, I have blog. But I like easy to use interface at hubpages and offcourse hub provide lot of traffic for a newcomer. I do many experiments on my blogger like themes, widgets etc. Blogger is totally different to work upon. Thanks
I have a few blogs as well. IMO it is critical to have a diversified online presence. Hubpages is great, but also having additional blogs really helps.
Hi SCP,
I created this topic about 4 months ago. I check it out every now and then.
I do agree having at least a couple of well thought out blogs which I use to connect all of my hubs, articles, posts and so on. Once in a while I update it and over time I see the web address/URL indexed by search engines. If a web address/URL stays on the web for a long period of time and it's updated occasionally over time it does get indexed.
They do help.

Sometimes since many places you can add your sites to for publicity only accept blogs. I do not care for the blog format where you have to scroll down forever to see the entire content. I prefer going page to page if there is lots of content. Too many blogs have been taken over by scammy, spammy marketers, so it soured me on the format I guess. There are many good ones out there and the format is easy for newbies to develop.
I understand what you mean. Some Blogs look so spammy. It takes time to make a Blog look professional it also takes time to learn how to use each Blog program.

I do blog, but only occasionally. HP is huge in my life now, and I find it takes most of my time.
Hi
I also you other bloggs. I also have a website of my own with a online forum to go with it.
www.cmitsolutions.co.uk
I have one Blog, however since stumbling upon HP it has been neglected a bit and I haven't been consistent as I once was.
I too have a hub on hubpage, all twenty two of them in which I keep on update as much as possible.
Greetings Hub Family,
I have several blogs, as I mention in my profile, though I find blogging can be time consuming to post regularly like you should. One blog in particular, I'm trying to stay on top of more, because I get the majority of my Adsense revenue from it. I also recently created another one surrounding link exchanges for writers, so I will definitely have to start monitoring that one closely. I find blogging to be work, just like all the other writing I do online, but it is nice to have no constraints on how you do things. However, no matter where else, and why else I write, I've discovered one thing: THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HUB!
I've just started a blog and I have posted some of my articles on it. I don't know if anyone besides myself reads it or not. lol hope so.
Do you have the actual articles posted there or links to the articles? I am new to blogging. I just wondered if it would be considered duplicate or what?
Holly
Hi Holly,
I don't copy and paste any of my work. I do have a few Blogs speaking about some of the same topics I have here at Hubpages BUT I write new and original content and have different ads posted on them.
mailxpress
Yes, I have several Blogs as shown in my Profile, which could be back link to HubPages.
I have been blogging for quite a while before joining HubPages. I love it and am still regularly making posts. I have put my HubPages widget there. It did help drive some visitors to some of my hubs.
Yes- I have a WordPress, Real Town, and Active Rain blogs and I post to Ezine and GoArticles. Generates more traffic for your Hubs.
I believe blogs are required in you are serious about internet marketing. Hubpages is just one of the methods to do so.
I have a couple of blogspot blogs. Other than that a few wordpress blogs installed on my own domains and a few websites.
I just started to use Wordpress. Wordpress seems to be very popular.
Hi,
I just started to use Wordpress. I like it and hope it helps me link up all of my work.
I have a couple of blogs. Even though I haven't updated them in while. I believe blogging is a great way to increase your presence online so I continue try and find time to put fresh new content on my blogs. The Search Engines love blogs...
Yeah, i blog but I am very new to that medium. I seem to learn more about blogs on a daily basis & i clearly have a long way to go....
I have three personal blogs and a bunch of blogs and websites that I post to or syndicate through. Besides the traffic generation ad backlinking, there are many things appropriate to blogs that don't fit well in HP.
Just opened a blog site (that is how new I am to this world that I am not even sure I am phrasing that correctly!) and will be using it soon. That was how I found out about hubpages actually.
Hi,
Happy to hear you found Hubpages. I love the community here and do enjoy sharing information. Best of luck with Hubpages.

Yes I have a blog so I can post all of my naughty stories!
hmmm, I have one too, it is in my profile
Well, I joined hubpages 2 days ago, and it seems fun.
I have some blogs off course, but I am wondering if I'll be able to manage them all since I've just found out this new discovery website.
I think that I am going to need some advice from you guys.
Any suggestions will be appreciate, thanks.
Regards, Ben @ http://www.plantinhamilton.com
Hi,
Hubpages is great. I continue to write new and interesting blogs which help me grow my online business.
I suggest you visit my profile on Hubpages only because I use many different techniques to expand my presence online and you might find my Hubs with Instructional videos to be helpful.

I just opened a new Wordpress blog the other day, mainly to post backlinks for my hubs (with a short descriptive paragraph for each hub I've mentioned over there). I've got a few blogs on blogspot.com as well.
I still have a blog, and I've still been writing on it, and actually just started using it to promote a couple of my hubs (as I read about in a hub here about using them to create a backlink).
Still, I'm finding that HubPages is unique in that it allows a writer to go beyond what a typical blog allows one to. A hub is generally longer than a blog, and certainly I find a lot of creative writing here—which I will be doing some of here as well. I'm certainly having more fun hubbing than I ever had blogging, though that's not to say I won't do it anymore.
We use Wordpress and Blogger for blogging. I like both of them and in all honesty so does Google.
Its a matter of keeping up with them, if you do continous posts you will get search engine juice which is really what we are after.
Cheers
Dale
I am using Hubpages and Flixya only. I tried blogs from blogger it is simple to use but I can't handle more sites for updating.
PMS9,
I just learned about Flixya and I created an account. I will definitely be uploading videos. I wrote to Flixya to make sure that the videos I want to upload are not considered commercial. I learned my lesson at YouTube. People flag a lot when they feel your invading their territory. Like having a billion people online is threatening. Unbelievable.

Yes, i have blog. Seven wordpress and 11 free blogger. i have not started using them to promote my hubpages as i am still new here and is still trying to see what works here
Hello chinweike,
I'm a true believer with connecting all of your works together. I create free blogs and websites and I always promote Hubpages and websites similar to Hubpages. I make sure I have my personal affiliate link on all of my work. I add to all of my work a little at a time. Every week I look back and say I accomplished a lot. It does not happen over night but it does happen.
Have a great day and connect all of your hard work together.

Blogging is a huge part of my affiliate marketing.
Hopefully in the next week or so I will be releasing a hub on how to make money online using only free tools.
Blogging is a big part of that.
Dale
Hi Dale,
I just read your profile here on Hubpages. I am now following you.
Yes, my main niche online is learning and teaching people how to earn revenue with all free resources. The resources are out there. On occasion I write about a different topic. I find it hard to think outside of my box but every once in a while it happens.
I look forward to your future blog. I'm sure I will learn something from it.
Have a great weekend.

I have something like 90 blogs and other niches on tipdrop, wordpress and a few more.
They all add up at payday.
I have a couple of blogger blogs. One of them is not specific enough to do well with AdSense, but the other has potential. None has been monetized as of today.
For use as a diary, they are unbeatable. Particularly if you've got something new going on in your life (serious hobby, medical treatments, etc.) and you want to talk about your progress. One blog I have is good for posting backlinks to my hubs.

What sites exist that are free to use, that allow writers to create any content (like HP), where you can make money?

Why do you write on hubpages rather than making your own blog?I have been thinking about making a blortal(blog portal).
