I have been posting my hubs on Twitter since I first joined Hp's but find to my amazement it offers very little traffic-is it worth it-what's your view?
I think it would depend on how many targeted viewers are getting your tweets.
I never bothered with it, but I know some hubbers used to think it was the cat's meow. You may want to search the forums and see what's been posted on it in the recent past.
You must know that there are thousands of links posted every minute and that your link won't get the most clicks.... It also depends on how many followers you have and how many of these followers actually follow you
I post some Twitter updates with a link to my hubs every day. For now, I'm not getting much traffic but I hope that this will change when I'll have more followers.
It really depends on your followers. If a lot of them really are fans who check out your stuff, then, yes, it is worth it.
I've noticed lately that several of my followers are doing that paper.li bit and my HP links are appearing in those. If they in turn have other real followers, you can get more exposure there.
Well it doesn't cost a dime to tweet. So if I brings even one person to your hubs then it is worth it! Just my opinion.
I agree it is mostly down to your followers. One additional thing that is helpful is if your tweets are reported in lists. The followers of those lists will see your tweet also. Also use the # function to get your message out there.
Like all things it is a matter of time. Keep doing what you are doing and eventually something good will come of it.
HP must think it is useful otherwise they would not have set up the function.
Hi! I'm finding I draw a handful of traffic if I tweet the hub several times doing at different times of day. My thinking is that readers check their Twitter account when they have a few minutes to spare here and there, and also some may do it in the evening while some may do it in the morning. At the same time, though, I try not to do it real frequently so that I don't 'wear out my welcome' in terms of their interest in seeing another tweet from me.

My Twitter account is @JohnnyF89 Thought I'd ask because I've noticed many published hubs that recommend the use of Twitter to help you with Hubpages.

Hello. I've been researching Twitter recently but a lot of the information I've found seems to be dated several years ago already so I'd like to ask for some recent information. Is Twitter still a good site for backlinks and traffic? Is it really effective? Does it work? How many times a day should...

Why is there no longer an option to share Hubs on Twitter? It looks like it's been replaced with Flipboard, which seems like a weird choice.
