Alessio is not one of Google Top Contributors in Google forums by chance: technology is one of his favorite topics! Check his articles here!

We are actually more than 500 Google Top Contributors all around the world and we are a great team which has been created in order to better provide help to millions of Google users all around the world. My experience with the Google Top Contributor program is related to Italian Google forums, even if we are a global team and there are occasions of meeting with people of all around the world. After reading these lines you may be probably asking yourself: who is exactly a Google Top Contributor’ Here you will find the answer and you will discover what exactly means being a TC for us and for users of all around the world.

We Help Google Users

Google Top Contributors are actually people who start helping users in official forums and social channels. People who have expertise and feel comfortable about using specific Google products may choose to share their time and knowledge in order to help other people in solving their problems. It is not a work and everything you are going to do is just moved by your passion, your attitude with helping other people and how do you feel whenever you realized you have doing something good for other people in the world. You start as a simple user, you help other ones and learn from other experts: then you are going to become a Google Rising Star: this is the first step towards your future as as a Google TC. As a Rising Star you are already recognized as an Expert: only a little more time and you will become a Top Contributor: as you may realize, it is something you are going to do only if you have real passion and great knowledge, without forgetting abilities to communicate with other people.

We Are Not Employees But…

As said before we do not work for Google and we get no money for the time we choose to spend as volunteers. Google stills show appreciation for us in many other ways. As TCs we are entitled to try preview products and new services before they are officially released, while also some nice swag may be sent sometimes (Google cups, T-shirts, pens and many other amazing things). Finally, one of the best parts of TC program: periodic summits and meetings with other TCs in your country (at the local Google office) and in other parts of the world (usually the European headquarters in Dublin or the Googleplex in Mountain View, California). Google TC program is always expanding and experts people have always an opportunity to join our amazing world, made of people moved by true passion. It’s not a call center in which you are forced to be polite while you feel stressed when doing your work. It’s also not a customer care position in which you are behaving exactly by following your boss’ instructions: it’s Google Top Contributor program: there is no work, everyone joining the program do this only for their pleasure and for their passion. If you get a nice answer from us whenever you report a problem with your Google account, be assured: it is a genuine answer! Everyone here choose to help other users and to be nice to them. Passion, personal satisfaction, desire of improving ourselves: welcome to the Google Top Contributor program!
