iPhone 4: This Changes Everything. Again

Updated on June 8, 2010

We have waited years, months and even counted down the days to the unveiling of this awesome device. The Apple iPhone 4 is officially here with the same design as the leaked iPhone months earlier.

The phone at first glance looks elegant, sleek and is a wonderful design overall despite my first thoughts. The iPhone 4 is fully equipped with the necessary features to enhance the experience the user is subjected to. iPhone 4 comes with the NEW iOS4 firmware which provides the users with over 100 new features and updates :).

Features

The stunning iPhone 4 is available as always in both white and black. Storage Capacity varies from 16GB to 32GB.

The new Features of iPhone 4:

  • FaceTime: Allowing the use of video chat calling.
  • Retina Display: Said to be the sharpest and most crisp phone screen available with more than three times the amount of pixels than in previous models.
  • Multitasking: Allowing the user to run and access more than one application at a given time without hindering the phones performance.
  • 5-Megapixel Camera with LED Flash: This allows stunning pictures of the highest quality to be taken with flash.
  • HD Video Recording: The iPhone 4 features the ability to record movies via its 5-Megapixel camera in HD (High Definition).

Other features more related towards the OS itself are the use of Folders, iBooks, iMovie, Accessibility and the More Features feature too. There is however much more too see with the official public release of the iPhone 4.

Design

The design of the iPhone 4 is very similar to the previous iPhone 3G/s design but has a more simplistic and square look to it. It consists of a stainless steel band right round keeping in style with the iPhone 3G/s.

It is equipped with two cameras, one in the front and one on the back of the device. It now has not one mic but two which are used for the FaceTime calling that will happen. The outer design of the device has not undergone a major transformation and still retains its iPhone-ish feel.

There is no doubt that Apple has yet pulled of another successful stunt with this iPhone. The iPhone is available to pre-order via the Apple Website which also has more details on the upcoming device. Thank you Apple and we hope to see more amazing handheld devices like this in the future.

The fact that you can open up multiple applications is great. The Android had that feature before the iPhone did though.
