Important tips while exchanging links with your link partner

Updated on February 25, 2014

Many SEOs are interested to promote their website as fast as possible. They use number of techniques for Website promotion like On page, Off page optimization, Social Media optimization, Search engine marketing, Email marketing, Article submission, blog submission, directory submission etc. There is one well known method too we know that as Link Exchange. As the name suggests we exchange links with our link partners to display our link on their website and their link to our website.

Before Link exchange I would like to tell you something about SEO because most of the people are unaware about this term. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization now I thing you got something. Let me explain. Search engine optimization means to optimize your website this much so that it can be well ranked in various search engines. This helps to enhance your visitors as well as your conversion rate. Conversion rate means percentage of number of your visitors who converts in your customers divided by total visitors of your site. SEO is an organic process until it relates to SEM (Search Engine Marketing).

Link Exchange is best method to enhance your website popularity among various search engines as well as directories. We can complete link exchange by two methods manually and by using tools. It is preferred to exchange your link with webmasters by confirming all the details of site. Being a SEO I know the importance of Link exchange. But during this process you have to pay attention on some factors which are really important.

Points should be kept in mind while exchanging link

There are some featured points which lead you towards successful link exchange:

  • Key phrase which is used to link with should be highlighted by your link partners
  • Your partners should not follow black hats techniques
  • You should exchange links with websites having high page rank
  • You should accept inbound links after clarifying is site theme relevant or not
  • Prefer reciprocal and one way both kind of links

After following these steps you can complete healthy link exchange with your partners. I prefer paid link exchange in comparison of free because free link exchange takes too much time to be approved.

Very informative hub and I understand most of it. The problem with me is that I am so NOT technical ... I get lost in all the termonology. I know what SEO means ... I use google key word to test my words and phrases ... it is very timely to do though ... I don't really understand what black hat techniques means or what accepting inbound links means... see what I mean. I'm a writer ... the technical stuff doesn't come easy for me.
