Things to look for when selecting your laptop bag

Laptop bags have lots of different qualities

Any or all of the above laptop protective devices will ensure that your laptop is carried safely, whether you're a student, stay-at-home mother, or office worker. And, these laptop bags contain plenty of storage for additional office supplies such as paper, pens, or file folders. With many organizing pockets, these laptop bags will help you stay on top of paperwork and have everything all in one place. And, some laptop bags are even large enough to hold a change of clothes if you're heading out for the weekend.

  • Varying sizes means that there is a laptop bag to fit your needs. Check carefully before ordering though
  • Laptop sleeves are smaller so will only carry a computer but will fit inside the laptop backpack or laptop bag
  • Laptop bags make great Christmas or Birthday presents for anyone on the go
  • Make sure to get a nice luggage tag for your new laptop bag as a lot of them look alike!

Laptop Reviews

This is a good video giving some reviews of the newest in laptop bags. It's worth the view.

How to choose the right laptop bag

Think long and hard about your needs before plunking down your hard earned cash for a laptop bag.

Consider the following:

  • Do you need additional storage along with your laptop? If so, consider getting a laptop bag with wheels to reduce arm strain.
  • Will your laptop be jostled around? Consider a neoprene laptop cover for the best paddingX
  • Are you looking to make a fashion statement or do you like patterns?
  • Is leather in your budget? A leather laptop bag will last the longest and can handle more stress
  • Whichever laptop protector you get, make sure you order the right size.

Laptop bags not only protect your laptop from the elements, but can also make it more difficult for thieves to get away with laptop theft.

I have 3 different laptop bags and use them depending on the situation. If I'm just doing research at the local library (or coffee shop...), I'll use my laptop sleeve but, for travel, my laptop bag with additional storage is clearly the way to go.

What do you use for a laptop protector?
