Create a Lego Profile Pic

Updated on May 13, 2013

How to turn yourself into a Lego minifigure!

Want a fun new avatar or profile pic? If you're Lego geek looking for a cool picture to use on your profile, check out this snazzy Lego version of myself that I made. It's surprisingly accurate, aside from the frustrating lack of pink hair as an option. My hair is purple almost as often as it's pink - and often both at once - so it's close enough. And I really have that "Giant Squid or Bust!" Squidoo coffee mug!

You can create a self-portrait or make your friend into Lego Minifigs - It's simple and easy to doat Reasonably Clever.

Just in case you're curious, I'm not affiliated with Reasonably Clever/Mini-Mizer in any way - I just think it's a cool little web toy and wanted to share it with the Squidoo community.

Ready for your close-up? Get a lego head avatar! - Make Lego faces if you need a square Lego portrait for forums that resize your avatar

If you want to just create a Lego Head icon, you can do that too! Reasonably Clever has another gadget, the "Block Head Iconizer" which allows you to create an avatar of a lego head that looks like you! Whew, this one has pink hair - much better. :) You should also note that the category of "facial hair" also includes a few other items like the bunny or kitty whiskers shown here, as well as freckles and such. Similarly, you'll find pirate eyepatches under eyebrows. Play with all the options, see what you can come up with!

Mini-Mizer 3.0 - make a picture of yourself as a Lego minifigure

The Mini-Mizer is a clever little flash application that let's you pick from hundreds of possibilities to make really cool Lego versions of anyone you want - yourself, your friends and family, superheroes, fictional characters, anybody you want!

You can add Lego accessories and change the hair, face, and clothing of your minifigure to whatever you like. Each of these categories has a bunch of awesome options to create the perfect Lego minifig image.

Buy Custom Lego Minifigs, They Make Awesome Gifts for Lego Geeks

My brother recently told me that his favorite stocking stuffer ever was the custom Lego minifig that looks just like him. I got it from the same website, Reasonably Clever, for just $5 plus shipping. Worth every penny, he loves it!

You can also build a custom Lego minifigure piece by piece by shopping on eBay. Here are just a few examples of the Lego hairstyles you can buy individually. Browse around and find the right hair - then pick out all the rest of the accessories and you can build your very own personalized Lego figurine.

Did you know you can buy just the minifigures without buying a whole Lego set?

Hey, what'd you think? Isn't that super fun? I swear I could mess around with this thing for hours making minifigs of all my friends and family. How about you?

My first sprinkling of angel dust on this lens has long worn off so I am back once again to scatter a little more. It is my quest today to bless all the lenses which I blessed in October of 2010. You are on this list.

Cool mini-mizer! But it's a pity a hard hat is missing. I'd love to have one on my avatar.
