Updated on July 4, 2017

Using Aweber to Build Your List

Whether you already use it, or have been thinking about trying Aweber to build a mailing list and make some money, chances are that you might not be using all of the features of Aweber to it's full advantage.

I know heaps of times when I log in and see my list growing I know I could be doing much more with my list.

Squeeze Page Secrets - Top Tips to Building Your Subscriber List

Top Tip #1

Have you joined any lists lately? Have a think about why you joined. Was it because of the offer they were giving you? Maybe it was because you trusted the person and wanted to hear more? This will probably be the same reasons that someone wants to join YOUR list!

Top Tip #2

Do you have lots of outgoing links and adsense on the same page as your opt-in box? Try and cut down the amount of links leaving your page since you want people to stay and hopefully sign up to your newsletter

Top Tip #3

Let them know that they can unsubscribe at any time. That way people feel less pressured and are more likely to sign up.

Top Tip #4

Add a disclaimer that you won't spam them or sell their details. Makes people feel more confident.

Highlight Your Squeeze Page

If you are using Squidoo to increase your mailing list then use a 'blackbox' module like this one to highlight your squeeze page. (Yes you can add links here too).

How to Make Money on the Internet For Free - Affiliate Marketing

It seems that these days everyone wants to know how to make money on the internet for free (and why wouldn't they when it's so easy?) But wanting to earn money and actually doing so are two very different things.

But if you put some work in, you'll find out that you really can make money on the internet and it doesn't have to cost you any money if you use many of the free publishing platforms like Blogger and HubPages.

If you are new to making money online then let's go over the proven strategy that works every single time so you can start off the right way.

Obviously the first thing you need is something to sell. That might be your own product like an eBook or guide, or it could be someone else's product where you become their 'affiliate' and earn a commission if you refer a customer and they buy.

You can make more money if you have your own product, but often when you are starting out you might not have that, so it's perfectly fine to promote someone else's product as well.

Ideally though, you do want to think about creating your own products to promote and sell for later down the track because not only will you earn more cash, but you'll know the product inside out and you'll be able to promote it so much easier.

But if you are starting as an affiliate then probably the first place you should go to have a look is the ClickBank Marketplace (you'll need to sign up with ClickBank so you can get the special code to put on your webpage). They have thousands of online digital products and eBooks on a range of subjects, and most of them pay very good commissions.

Now that you have chosen your product, think about what sort of problems that it will solve. Go to Blogger or HubPages and join up (it's free) and write about the product. It could be a review or a page about how using that product will help them. Include your affiliate link on the page so that customers can click it and then you'll earn a commission if they buy.

Your last step is to send traffic to your page. If you are sticking with only free methods then one of the best ways to do that is writing articles and submitting them to article directories. Write one or two articles a week (or more if you have the time) and use the resource box to add the link to your webpage where you have a review of the product.

And that is how to make money on the internet for free.

AWeber Autoresponder - How to Quickly Use AWeber to Build Your List Like Crazy

You probably know that real money is made online through your subscriber list. Unless you have a list, you are wasting your advertising efforts. But which autoresponder should you use to build your list and how do you set it up? I use AWeber for my autoresponder, and here are the steps I used to set it up.

Autoresponder Step #1: Sign-Up

The first step in using AWeber to build your list is to sign-up for an account. The price of AWeber's accounts is based on the number of subscribers, so if you are just starting to build your list, you can use the cheapest account. Today a list for up to 500 subscribers only costs $19 a month. Once you sign-up, take advantage of the many free videos and online training courses that AWeber offers.

Autoresponder Step #2: Create A List And A Confirmation Email

Once you have signed up for your AWeber account, you need to create a list. A list is a way to separate your subscribers. Most people starting out will just need to create one list. But if you promote multiple products or need multiple lists, then you can create as many as you like. Once you have created your lists, you should write the confirmation emails that will be sent to subscribers to confirm their subscription. AWeber will use a default confirmation email, but you need to make this confirmation email much more personal so people will confirm their subscription.

Autoresponder Step #3: Create Follow-Up Messages

Follow-up messages are messages that are sent to each list. You can create as few or as many follow-up emails as you would like. As you create these emails, you will also create the schedule that these emails will be sent. For example, you can easily send a follow-up email 1 day after your subscriber signs-up and then send other follow-up emails once or twice a week after that. The schedule is totally up to you.

Rather than use the Black Box module for my opt-in, I use a regular text and picture module, because that allows me to show an image of my sign up incentive gift.

This is a good lens. I was wondering if I could add an aweber contact form because I am very much into building lists and communication with the right people. Your solution is very good. I think using a StickyNote and Big Arrow Link modules is OK 2. Thanks, Tracey

Just popped in to leave an angel blessing on your lens. I'm surprised you haven't gotten more comments. One thing about Aweber that's potentially "better" than some of the others is the affiliate program. I'm still not list building yet, but I do understand the importance of having a list. Anyway, Blessings!

Hi CCGal. I kind of agree. I still have my aweber list but I'm wondering if it's worth just dumping altogether since I dont use it. dilemma dilemma

I paid for an aWeber account for two years and finally just canceled it last year. Unless you want to send out e-mails to subscribers, which I soon realized I don't enjoy doing, it doesn't make much sense. Now Feedburner, I love because it lets people know when I've added something. The best thing I can say about aWeber is that it's the only response management product I am aware of that offers an affiliate program. That alone is enough to make it the superior choice for someone wanting to develop a list. (PS ... the money isn't in the list - it's in your relationship with the people on your list.)

How do I get aweber to work when people come back to a site again and want to repost a question in an aweber form? It tells them they can't do it because they're already registered.
