Best Mini Video Camcorders: HD, DV & More

Updated on January 7, 2014

Best Mini Video Camcorders For Parents, Professionals and More

Mini video camcorders are making a comeback for 2014. No matter if you're looking for a waterproof mini camcorder, a slim mini video camcorder (like me), or a "pro-sumer" video camcorder (one that lends itself more towards the professional realm), you've come to the right place.

Why did I get a mini camcorder? I had a son! Every word and step needed to be recorded so we'd always have that memory capture. It's sounds corny, but I need to start recording all of life's moments; I don't want to miss a thing. Like me, once you get one of these mini video camcorders, you'll be surprised at how much you'll be able to capture.

Waterproof Mini Video Camcorder - Easy to use mini video camcorder

This is a great mini video camcorder if you don't like overly complicated devices: this is very easy to use. If you want a mini video camera that is waterproof and rugged yet still takes high quality video, this is a great choice.

Mini Video Waterproof Camcorder - Mini Camcorder in Several Colors

There are a ton of color choices for this mini video camcorder: aqua blue, grey, orange, lime green and red. This is one of the best mini video camcorders if you'll be taking video mostly outdoors; it captures outdoor scenes beautifully. It does, however, lack a flash, making video appear grainy in low-light situations.

It has a TON of features and great battery life. I especially like the fact that this mini video camera is rated to 15 feet underwater; many others are only rated to 10 feet. The best feature, however, is the price--where else can you find a mini video camcorder under $100?

I have a Jazz camcorder and it's fine for what little I use it. :)

I have the Tec Mini DV 80S Camcorder. Sound and pictures are OK but it really needs image stabilization. It takes good video as long as you keep it steady but as soon as you move it, the video becomes jerky.
