My Favorite iPhone Apps

Updated on November 7, 2014

I Love My iPhone

My iPhone is attached to my hand. It goes everywhere with me and I'm completely lost without it. You know those jokes that go around that say something along the lines of "You know you're addicted to your iPhone when....."? Well, that's me. I fit every one of those when's.

I have to admit however that I really haven't had my iPhone for very long, I think it's been less than a year. I know there's millions of apps out there that I haven't tried yet but I'm working on it one by one. I will add to this list as I discover new loves.

This here is my home page. Not super exciting but I update it often, sometimes accidentally and sometimes on purpose.

I have to start with the most important app - Bloons Tower Defense 4. This is absolutely my favorite game. No Angry Birds for me, this is way more fun. You have dart throwing monkeys that block the path of the bloons. If too many slip by your defense, GAME OVER.

I started playing Bloons Tower Defense years ago on my computer. I was so excited when I found the app. The replay value on this game is unbelievable. I'm sure I've spent thousands of hours playing. Not only is there regular game play but you can unlock upgrades, more boards, challenges and extreme maps.

This is a must have if you spend any time in waiting rooms or lines or just want to kill a few hours.

Making Money on My iPhone - EBAY

This app is #2 because what could possibly be better than making money right from your iPhone? You don't need any other piece of equipment to start a sale. You can sell it all from the palm of your hand! It's so easy! You take the picture on your phone and add it. Write up the description and done! Love it!

Not sure how to sell on eBay?

Here's some how-to videos to help you!

My next favorite

You need a convenient place to receive the money that you've made with your iPhone and PayPal works perfectly for that. It's a nice app as long as you don't mind paying the high fees. Sometimes you have to pay a little more for convenience and PayPal is usually worth it. You can even get a debit card for your PayPal account so you don't have to wait for the money to get transferred to your bank account. Simple to use.

SKYPE - Keep in touch with EVERYONE

Skype to me is fascinating. What's the most fascinating is why more people don't use it!! I don't get it. Remember being a kid and watching the Jetsons? They had a phone where they could see the other person and we all thought it was a futuristic fantasy - something that wouldn't happen until we were all walking around in spandex-y spacesuits. Well the future is here folks, please use Skype. (No spandex-y spacesuits please! Unless of course that's your thing! )

YouTube - Love uploading videos!

Remember when "Videos" all involved music? Today, you can find videos of anything on YouTube. Comedy, music, bloopers, video game cheats, walk-throughs, sporting events, animals, horse races, robberies, car crashes.... you name it, there's a video out there.

The iPhone makes it so easy to upload my very own videos. Just a few clicks and boom, the whole world can see them - including far away relatives who want to see too!

Weatherbug - Is it going to rain?

This is one of the most useful apps I have. Weather is so very important. I love riding horses and I need to know what the weather is going to be like so I can make plans for riding. If I'm out on a trail somewhere, it's important to know if there's a storm coming so I can head back to the trailer in time. It's also useful if I'm planning a trip or a picnic and for knowing what to wear to work tomorrow.

Get ready for all kinds of weather - Don't let it rain on your parade

The weather won't ruin your plans if you're prepared! Make sure that you keep an umbrella or raincoat in your car. If you live in a snowy area, you could even keep a small shovel handle.

This umbrella is the Gustbuster original! It's 48" huge and will protect you from the wind. It also opens and closes automatically.

Golf Size is the only way to go! This one even has an auto open and close feature.

Snowblowers are a must if you live in the colder climates - Shovels work too

Brrr... it can get cold out there but a snowblower will help speed things up during the winter. Snowblowers come in all different sizes like everything else. You should look for a machine with something that has a greater horse power than 8 HP or it might not be able to get through the snow in a big snowstorm or in wet snow.

If you love writing, you'll love Hubpages. It's a really nice platform with a great community of people. You can spend as little or as much time as you want on the site.

This is the phone that I have. Love it!

Otterbox - To Keep My iPhone Safe

I always use Otter Boxes. They keep my phones nice and safe because I tend to drop them a lot. You can find many different brands though so pick a pattern or color that you like and search around a little bit. You're sure to find something that you love!

Please share your favorite app. I need some new ones to try!
