Nikon 1528 16.2 MP DSLR Camera Review

Updated on December 3, 2013

I am an amateur photographer and any normal camera had been sufficient for me till I developed passion for trick photography and making funny videos. I was introduced to the exciting world of trick photography by an icon of trick photography Evan Sharboneau. I saw some mind blowing trick photography and special effects when he showed his collection.

In his enthusiasm, Evan told me that you do not need any expensive camera to create these kind of special effects. Any normal digital SLR camera will do. So I bought a little cheapy and when he actually started demonstrating the process of trick photography, he said bring back the shutter speed to minimum possible. I said how? He asked me to explore mr camera. Then after going through the complete user manual we came to conclusion that in this camera only two speeds are possible "High" or "Low". That when I started my quest for the right camera. After lots of pros and cons and also considering my budget I zeroed down to "Nikon 1528 Df 16.2 MP CMOS FX-Format Digital SLR Camera" It has reasonably good resolution of 16.2 MP and what excited me was that it has mechanical dial kind of thing to change the shutter speed. You can change the shutter speed the way you zoom IN or OUT the lens, giving you more opportunity to experiment with your special effects.

What makes this camera specially good against other high resolution expensive cameras, is it extra low light performance. Any day, I will trade off better low light performance with higher resolution. Specially when you need to upload your creations on the web, too high a resolution goes against you because of its slow speed. And so many times, I create those special effects during night where "Nikon 1528 Df 16.2 MP CMOS FX-Format Digital SLR Camera" comes out as true champion

I always recommend that camera accessories are the real tools supporting the cameras. So many times I have regretted that I should have a tripod for this particular shot. So, do not try to save a few dollars here and there and buy all the accessories that you need with this camera.
