Proxy Authority

A proxy site is a website which allows users to surf the internet freely through bypassing the filters that are in place they act as a kind of buffer. A proxy server will hide your IP address from the source website while proving you with general information. Proxy sites are in high demand due to the increased security being put in place at schools and workplaces by administrators. The increased amount of free proxies allows internet surfers the opportunity to anonymously surf their favorite websites whether this be Facebook, Twitter or another social networking site with the use of a proxy server.

Many proxy servers come and go, so finding a proxy server that is consistently available and effective from your network can be a real time saver. The proxy servers discussed here have great track records for availability.

What is a Proxy Site

Why Use a Proxy Site

A proxy site (web proxy or HTTP proxy) can unblock websites and help you stay anonymous online. This proxy site allows gives you unblocked access to blocked sites. Schools and colleges have Internet filters that block many cool websites and companies have corporate firewalls. Online games and gaming sites, social networking and chat sites, video and file sharing sites and news and blog sites are targeted. HTTP proxies can bypass web filters and access blocked sites without getting caught!

If you want to see what is public about your browser check out stayinvisible.com.

Another benefit is for individuals or employees that often travel to other locations or regions where the Internet is filtered. Proxy servers allow you to bypass filters that can prevent your business applications from accessing the Internet freely. The Proxy service will also hide your true local IP address.

Privacy Test

Stay Invisible is an Internet anonymity test that helps you to control your online privacy and anonymity.

Concerns about privacy have been existing for a long time. However, the Internet makes them much more real threats because of the global distribution of data. In most cases only you decide what information about yourself to disclose via the Internet , but there are pieces of information you provide Internet servers without your explicit agreement and even without your knowing. This test shows your IP address, location, and other important information that is revealed by your browser when you visit a web page.

ClearlyDrunk.com is a free anonymous web based proxy service. With ClearlyDrunk you can browse your favorite web sites anonymously; even from behind a firewall. You can use ClearlyDrunk to view your favorite web sites - even if your school or employer are blocking sports, torrents, bookmarking, social networking or dating sites

Browsing anonymously is safe and does not require extra software or programs to be installed. Also, you don't have to go in and re-configure all your Internet settings. Using a proxy server like ClearlyDrunk to browse the web will reduce your risk of being infected with trojans, viruses, worms, and other malicious scripts by putting an anonymous filter between you and the web sites you visit.

Thank you for this lens. I also prefer https://sslpro.org which uses SSL 443 port for proxying the content so it's more secure and unblockable on corporate firewalls. Thanks again.

Free privacy tools for Firefox exist, like AutoProxy, that offer similar functionality. You can also achieve better privacy by installing additional privacy add-ons like NoScript or BlockSite. Thanks.
