Review for Canon powershot ELPH 100 HS
The Canon Powershot ELPH point-and-shoot camera and HD video
If your thinking about buying the Canon Powershot, then this lens is for you. This is my favorite point and shoot camera not only because of its size but its huge amount of pixels and its super simple video function.
I have taken mine on numerous trips camping, backpacking, Disneyland and Mexico. I love Canon camera products, but with the size of the Canon 100hs camera it makes it easy for me to carry it in my purse or even in my pocket.
In this lens I have included some of my own photographs and vids. I hope that you enjoy them, as I have enjoyed taking them.
Taken in the SF Academy of Science
SF California Academy of Science
The above photo was taken in the giant Terrarium in the Academy of Science. It was humid in there and capturing pics of the flitting butterflies was a bit of a challenge. Once this one had landed I ended up with a decent macro style photo.
Canon 100HS Battery and Memory Review
Nothing worse than breaking out your camera for the perfect unexpected shot only to find that your battery isn't juiced up enough to take a photo....and as quick as that, the moment is gone. I know, because I have been there. But with the lithium battery and a full charge you can take photos for literally days without the need to recharge. With that in mind, shooting video is another thing. I can create a lot of video time but it does significantly use more battery which is why I chose to purchase the mobile charge that can recharge my battery in any cigarette lighter or in the wall.
Personally I have also invested in a larger memory card, this is because it makes in incredibly convenient for me to go away on weekend and not have to worry about filling up the memory. I take a lot of photos and I shoot a lot of video, the last thing I want is to still have a couple days left for my trip and have to delete some pics of vids because I will need to clear up space.
Photographing an aquarium can be a challenge due to glare and reflections. My Canon 100 HS did beautifully taking pics in this super low light setting. I captured this anemone with little glare or blurring, which isn't bad to a pic taken through glass.
Canon ELPH 100
Upclose and personal with detail
The above photo was taken at a local cemetery. The Canon ELPH 100 has an amazing attention to the smaller details. It picked up everything in this photograph to make is rich in content.

Toy Camera Effect
The above photo was taken using the "Toy Camera Effect". It really captured the bright colors of the flower and emphasized it by darkening the edges. This camera has many many options for cool effects.
Amazon Spotlight Personal Review
I am in LOVE with this little camera. Convenient, quick, super awesome functions for all kinds of different shooting options, simple one press button for the video function. Small enough to fit in your pocket or purse but still takes amazing photos. I have been in photography since 2001 and by far this camera is my favorite due to its outstanding picture taking and its size.
Shooting Videos for the Canon 100HS
I love this function. With a single push of a button I am making movies. Like I said in the beginning of this lens, I have used my camera to make videos all over the place. In Mexico I dont usually want to carry a large bag or anything that could possibly be ripped off of me. I enjoy seeing the back streets of destinations I visit, so to look less like a tourist it is convenient for me to just carry my camera in my pocket. I have gotten some of the best photos I have ever taken with this compact point and shoot camera. It has some really amazing functions for different video recording settings depending on the situation. Be it kids, pets, cars or dusk, there is a setting for it. I have also used it for making video tutorials for hair styles. I just put the camera on my tripod, set the starting time for 10 seconds, press the video record button and in 10 seconds I am making a video.
