With the Apple Mac Mini computer's compact design, and the variety of accessories which can be purchased to go along with this cool little computer, you can easily create a really great desktop office display. Small spaces are no problem for the Mac Mini.

Images displayed on this article are my own.

Setup of the Mac Mini is simple and it's compact size allows for a much cleaner work space.

The Apple Mac Mini is perfect when you want a small computer with a big heart.

Apple is well known for delivering fast reliable computers with great security. The Mac Mini delivers on these features but does this from an exceptionally compact design.

It's a little computer with all the capability of function that the big computers have.

If you work in a small office space, or simply just like to have a little extra desk room, then the Apple Mac Mini just may be the ideal computer for your needs. It's is definitely the perfect desktop computer for students living in dorms as it really does not take up much space at all.

Setup of the Apple Mac Mini.

Whether you are looking to save space, or just make your desktop a really cool place, the Mac Mini accessories, stands, and mounts, makes it a snap to have the computer desk of your dreams.

Unboxing and setting up your Mac Mini is relatively easy. Just plug in your monitor, your keyboard, and your mouse, and you are ready to go. Your Apple Mac Mini comes with all the cords which you should need in order to get your new computer up and running.

Just be sure to download the latest updates as soon as you have your Mac Mini hooked up. Also check with the Apple staff to insure that your security features are turned on. The security features are supposed to be turned on when your computer gets to you, but when I first looked at mine, they were shut off.

If you can afford the extended warranty plan that Apple offers it's customers make sure that you get it. This extra protection is well worth the money invested. Apple computers are expensive and it really is better to be safe than to be sorry a little further down the road. Get the extended Apple Care Warranty to go along with your new computer.

Designer compact desk made easy.

You can easily set up in just a few minutes but the benefits will last for the life of your Mac. We know that the Mac Mini doesn't take up much space but by using a shelf mount you use that little extra room on your desk for whatever additional purposes you choose.

It's an ideal way to make a space saving desk save even more space. Tuck your Apple Mac Mini conveniently under your computer monitor. A monitor stand is ideal for small work areas.

If you have a complex office Mac Mini setup then two is often better than one. You can get stands to mount 2 Mac Mini computers together. Double the space saver.

There are hundreds of unique ways to set up your Mac Mini desktop display.

Perfect for those who don't have a large work space.

There are a lot of accessories to help you save space. A compact office space does not have to be disorganized. The small Apple Mac Mini computer combined with a few other desk space savers can turn your office into the ideal work space.

I am in need of a new laptop but since Microsoft released Windows 10 I have been thinking hard about whether to buy a Mac or stick with what I already know. As a regular user of Macs you have given me some more facts and opinions upon which to base my decision. Thanks!

I love the Mac. It is very reliable and fast. No pop ups and so forth. Once you go mac it's hard to go back! Great article, thank you Lorelei

I have had a iMac computer for over three years now, it's not a mini, I like the small keyboard and magic mouse and wouldn't part with it for anything the best investment I have ever made buying a computer.

@anonymous: The Mac Mini can get you into an Apple computer at a very reasonable price compared to the other Mac products. It was the price and security that persuaded me to purchase one. What I do not like about the Mac Mini is the limited USB ports on it. I purchased a multi usb port hub to compensate. They are around 15.00 to 25.00 dollars so not a bad price for the value.

I just haven't made the switch to a Mac yet but I do like that they have a smaller, more reasonably priced version of their computers. I guess I have always had PC's because that is what I could afford. Great set-up article.

@DANCING COWGIRL: The Mac Mini is the computer that I own and I have grown to really love the security of the Apple computer products.

I saw one of these the other day when I was looking for a Mac. I had no idea there was such a small computer. Guess I will look at this a little more.

@vineliner57: My daughter had the mac mini for years and loved it so I decided to give it a try. Macs are so much more secure than windows computers and in our field that really counts. It certainly would also be the ideal computer for dorm students due its small size. I have had mine now for a couple years and don't think I would enjoy a windows nearly as much as this one.

I currently use Windows based PCs, but have been thinking about a Mac due to security reasons. This sure looks like a good option to me. I was not aware of the Mac Mini until I ran across this review. Thanks for spreading the word.

@lionmom100: I purchased a windows laptop but am not too happy with it so my next major purchase will be an Apple laptop. The security really makes it a worthwhile purchase.

I have a Mac Mini, and love it. I was kind of hoping to get some recommendations though on which kind of headset or microphone to use with it... Maybe you could add a module on that?Otherwise great lens!

@WriterJanis2: That is my first thought on the Mac Mini too. It takes up very little space and it has great online security as well. Very important now a days.

I think these would be great for college students who live in a dorm and have little space.

@WebMarketingPro: Just a quick update. I got a Logitech headset and it works GREAT for Skype and other uses.

I have one, but then went for a MacBook Pro. The mini is wonderful for photo backups.

@Redneck Lady Luck: Thanks. Actually, I need it for podcasting and doing voiceovers and such, i.e., spoken word, but good quality spoken word...

@WebMarketingPro: I actually just bought a headset but it is for using speech recognition rather than for music. Most computer headsets are universal so just find a good quality one and you are set.

@flycatcherrr: I think that I have now experienced the security of the Apple computers that I will stick with them. My next Mac though will likely be a laptop for using while I travel. When you work online you need to keep your computer always nearby your fingertips.

@anonymous: Have you seen the laptop shelves for the treadmills yet. Now one of those may be my next investment. (lol...if I can ever get my laptop back from my daughter that is.)

@anonymous: What I do love about the Mac Mini is the security that it offers. I'm always chasing down plagiarists it seems so the Mac Mini protects me from those that have a little bit more than just plagiarism in their sites. Keeps me a little safer on the internet. Macs are great for security.

Am tired of my Compaq. Planning to shift loyalties to a Mac! Wonder if the Mini can fit the bill for heavy loads! Thanks!

Very well done. I thinking about getting a desk for my laptop so that I can stand and work comfortably.
