Before buying any solar battery charger for your laptops of mobile devices you need to be familiar with the following technical details of a charger system according to your needs.

Example of Technical Details of Laptop Solar charger

  • Output power of Solar panel output: 18V, 320mA
  • Operation temperature of solar panel: -20-80°C
  • Solar Panel life time: Above 10 years
  • Dimension of the solar system: 390*280*5mm,Weight: 390g
  • Warranty period of the entire solar kit-12 months
  • The solar charger must fit most of the popular branded laptop charger plugs.

How to use solar battery charger for laptop?

Most of the laptops need 16V to 24 V for operation and cell phone or mobile handset require around 5Volts.

How longer the battery will remain charged?

As long as your solar charger is exposed to the Sun, it keeps charging the laptop battery. For example if your solar panel can generate 2 Amps per hour, then 5-hour of Sun exposure will generate 5x2=10 Amp-hours; if your laptop battery is 12 Volts then it will generate 12x10=120 Watt-hours9(Who). These 120 watt-hours are how much energy sun can provide in a day, considering 5 hour sun exposure of the solar cell. Normally, small notebook laptop consume 60 watt. So, with 120 WH, your laptop will run 120/60= 2 hours. If you need to increase the battery charging time, you just need to add more solar cells in you solar kit.

Note- 120 Watt-hour means, 120 Watt of power will be spended (or consumed by the laptop) over one hour of time. Since, small notebook needs only 60 Watt-hour, so it will run for 2 hours.

How much is the cost of solar charger Laptop battery?

The price can be as low as a hundred dollars to several hundred dollars; it depends on the solar cell capacity of the charger-- the more capacity the more you pay.

Will my Solar Charger work with any Branded Laptop?

This type of solar chargers are designed to work with most popular laptop adapters of current time-IBM ,ASUS, HP, Samsung, Acer/T1, Dell, , NEC, Toshiba-and also work with all types of cell phone adapters including Motorola, Nokia, Sony Erickson.

Why should I buy a solar Laptop battery charger?

Once you buy a solar charger for your laptop you need to pay zero electricity bill because solar cells get free energy from the Sun. In addition, solar energy is eco-friendly, which helps you to go green.

Laptop charging tips:always keep 50% of your laptop battery charged, even when you keep it in shut-down state. Never keep it fully discharged.
