Sony Xperia Tablet Z Review

Updated on September 4, 2014
5 stars for Sony Xperia Tablet Z

My way to Sony Xperia Tablet Z.

Hello folks! Welcome to my Sony Xperia Tablet Z honest review. A few months ago my girlfriend came home, holding her hands behind her back and told me.. "I have something for you".. I couldn't even imagine that she brought me a tablet. Well, when I saw it, I was amazed and I thought to myself - Oh my God, it's Tablet Z!!.. At that time I already knew it was the 2ND best tablet in the world on 2013.. And it's not only the experts opinion, but users as well..

Thank God, I have my girlfriend, who made this present for me.. She's wonderful and very kind person and I am absolutely thankful to the higher powers, to let me know her and be with her..

So, I want to share my passionate opinion to all of you.. Let's cut to the chase!

Bad Points About Sony Xperia Tablet Z.

  • Weak front camera

In comparision to other android tablets like Nexus 10 or Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1".

  • Quiet speakers, even on the max volume.

Speakers perform better, if you are listening a high quality audio tracks, downloaded from the internet. Much more quiet, if watching youtube with low video quality. Actually, you are covering the speakers with your palms, while playing games or watching movies. (I found a way to fix it: Turn the tablet for 180 degrees to get better sound)

  • It's a dust and feather magnet

There are two most unanswered questions in the world - Where the money disappears? and Where the dust come from?

I have 3 wonderful cats at home, and sometimes it becomes a little bit annoying to clean the tablet screen before every usage.

  • No Flash Player support for The built-in browser

As Adobe dropped the support for Android, It has no Flash player for the built in Browser and Google Chrome Browser. (There are a LOT of ways to fix it - GIYF, what stands for "Google Is Your Friend")

Now the good points about Sony Xperia Tablet Z

  • Water and Dust Proof

You can literally pour a glass of water on the tablet, without causing any damage to it. MicroUSB, headphone and microSD slots are covered with little "doors", making the tablet more sustainable from dust and water.

  • High performance

With a 1.5 GHz Quad Core processor and 2GB of RAM, you can do pretty much everything on the tablet, starting from HQ Movies Online and ending with games and software with high resource consumption.

  • Great Colors

Very good display quality. With 1920x1080 pix resolution, it's a joy to watch the tablet in action.

  • Good Battery Quality

Some days I am spending the time by only playing games like Real Racing 3 (You can see that in gallery below) The battery can last whole day, without charging it. By normal usage, like internet, Social Networks, the battery can last even a couple of days away from charger.

  • Unscratchable display

As I mentioned before, I have 3 cats at home, who love to walk or lay over my tablet, if I left it on the couch. Not even talking about "Cat Games", which 1 of my cats really love.. :) Although 3 cats with sharp nails were not able to scratch the display in 4 months time period. Pretty Awesome huh?

  • Great main camera

Honestly, I am not a fan of built in cameras, that's why I have Nikon instead. In this case, the built-in 8.1 megapixel works fine for me, when using the tablet outdoors to make great pictures for Instagram or Forsquare.

  • Usability

What I can say is, that Tablet Z can replace the laptop for me completely. I mean it! When I come home from my dayjob, there is no need to turn on my laptop. Everything I need, I have on my tablet.

Actually I have a Website, where you can find latest Android Tablet Updates and Compare The Best Tablets In The World. Browse the links to discover more.

Great to see a review about a tablet that ISN'T made by that terrible, unbearable and overrated corporation ... Pear.

      Or was it Banana?

      Apple, maybe?

      Anyway, thank you. :)
