Best 10 Inch Subwoofer - Top Subs for 2015

Updated on January 14, 2015

Best Car Audio 10 Inch Subwoofers For the Money

For me, tinkering with computers, audio systems, and electronics goes hand and hand. This is probably because I'm a little bit OCD when it comes to having the best picture, sound, and technology available. In this post I'll review and give you a list of the best 10 inch subwoofers available for the money and let you know which one I'd choose at each price point. While any list like this can be one-sided I'll also give you a chance to see what subwoofers other audiophiles would choose. Don't see your sub at all? Be sure to leave me a comment below.

Choosing a Subwoofer

If you're looking for good low frequency sound reproduction to go with your car audio system, then a good subwoofer is just what you need. The problem is that not all subs are as durable or even sound good to every person. If you're adding a subwoofer for that third dimension of sound and are looking for sound quality, then you'll want a quality sub with a smaller enclosure and woofer. Those that want their sub to levitate them off of their seat will find they want a large woofer with a ported enclosure in order to get more output out of what you have.

Did you know? - Car audio competitions began in Bakersfield, CA as early as 1981.

Below I've featured 3 of my favorite 10 inch subwoofer options in both the under $100 and under $200 categories. In each category I've given a mixture of tried and tested subs as well as popular up and coming models on the market.

Best 10 Inch Subwoofers Under $100 2015 - Kicker 10C104 Comp 10-Inch Subwoofer Review

The Kicker 10C104 came out in 2010 and has been one of my favorite models since. It's certainly not for those looking for a pair of competition 12's, but it works as well as a set of 2 10 inch subs I got from a manufacturer a few years before. Overall the quality and price of this particular model will beat your expectations. If you're looking to add a significant "thump" to your current system, then this is a good place to start.

Pioneer TS-SW2501S4 Subwoofer

While the Pioneer TS-SW2501S4 certainly won't give you the loudest thump you've ever heard, it does have some of the best quality sound that you can get in this price range. That being said I was pleasantly surprised at the depth and output I could get from them and they're great for a smaller car.

This good looking sub is another great deal in its price range. It's highly efficient at 91db 1 watt/meter and it beats the other players in its price range giving you a great bang for your buck.

The Rockford Fosgate R2S-1X10 came out in late 2011 and features a high-flow, low-noise port design. You'll find it especially appealing if you have a small single cab truck.

Infinity Basslink - Powered Subwoofer System

This enclosed self-powered sub is great for a vehicle like a jeep or for those looking to save some space and not worry about the space issues and look of larger systems. It's an easy under-the-seat type installation.

Great for Tight Fits - Pioneer TS-SWX251

This particular sub sounds great and can lay flat in your vehicle or stand upright (if you need it to) behind seats. It's another great choice for those of you who are looking for something to go in a tight-fit location.

High-End: Kicker 10" Solo-Baric Sub 11S10L74 - Pricey, but it Should Last You a Long Time

This square kicker 10 inch subwoofer gives you the latest technology available on the market. It features a stiff cone for less distortion, stitching and ribbed santoprene rubber surround increased durability, and spring loaded terminals. This is one of Kicker's higher-end models so if you can find it on sale you'll save yourself quite a bit of money.
