USE T9 DICTIONARY TO TYPE SMS QUICKLY ON YOUR MOBILE

Type SMS quickly with T9 Dictionary

If you have to send SMS regularly from your mobile, you must have felt that typing SMS is a cumbersome task especially if the message is long. But, now you can type SMS on your mobile phone very fast with the help of T9 Dictionary. T9 stands for ‘Text on 9 Keys’. Almost all mobile handsets are loaded with T9 Dictionary facility these days. It is very easy to use T9 Dictionary. You only need to know how to use it.

1. Turn on the Dictionary on your mobile. When write message box is open to type the SMS, go to ‘Options’, you will see ‘Dictionary’. Select ‘English’ or any other language of your choice to turn on the T9 Dictionary.

2. Go to write message box. Now, you just need to press the corresponding key once to type an alphabet. For example, if you want to type ‘fill’, just press 3, 4, 5, 5 numeric keys. You will see that the world ‘fill’ has been typed. Another example, to type ‘love’, just press 5, 6, 8, 3 numeric keys, the word ‘love’ will be typed automatically.

3. After pressing corresponding numeric keys, if you find that some other word is being displayed, press * key to change the word. You will see that a new word is being displayed. When you press * key again, a new word will be displayed again. Example - If want to type loud, you will have to press 5, 6, 8, 3 keys. When you type these numeric keys, you will find that the word 'love' is displayed. Now, press * key. You will notice that the word 'loud' is now being displayed.

4.  To turn on or off T9 Dictionary is also very easy. Just press # key twice, and T9 Dictionary will be turned on or off automatically.

The steps mentioned above are for Nokia mobile phones. T9 Dictionary is available in almost all mobile handsets these days, but the method of turning on or off T9 Dictionary may vary from phone to phone and company to company. So, if you cannot find T9 Dictionary option on your mobile phone, please refer to your handset manual.
