1, 2, 3, or even 100 messages of knowledge everyday.

In this modern day, they said that having a cellular phone or “CP” is not a luxury anymore but a necessity. Aside from calling, millions of people are quite fond of what we called as “text messaging.” Filipinos or the Pinoys are absolutely not left behind for Philippines was known or considered to be the texting capital of the world. Texting is one of the innovations in technology which started years ago. My day won’t last without receiving a least one text message from a friend; inspirational quote, joke or even just a simple “hi” or “how are you” message. It’s not normal if I haven’t received one crazy message that eventually makes me smile or burst into laughter. Pinoys are just really sweet and thoughtful in nature so don’t be bothered to ask why this is so. It is almost a part of the everyday life.

Rat race competition among the telecommunication companies trigger the fast development and improvement, they’re always focusing on research to unlock new innovations and doing the best schemes they can to offer and tempt their subscribers to use their services in a promise of great satisfaction at affordable price. Promos are rampant from unlimited text messaging to different flat call rates; one can send lots of messages without spending too much and worrying greatly with their load. Since registration price is cheap or affordable, everybody can avail these special offers.

With these texting craze we could have longer conversations with people we dearly love even though they are million miles away from us, however on the other side, these promos also started the addiction among the users especially with the teens and students as I also experienced this in my student life, having those dark circles around the sullen eyes not because of studying but because of the sleepless nights texting and having swollen thumbs- wohh not good especially for health. It depends on how you are going to use these SMS promos, it could be very beneficial for a faster and easier communication, you can always keep in touch with just few clicks especially when urgent matter arise and in times of emergency. The harmful side is--if one will ruthlessly spend his/her unlitext (unlimited text) for 24/7 (24 hours and 7 days a week) and keep on sending nonsense stuffs, scandalous gossips without minding the other person’s sake and privacy. If the only intention is to splurge with these promos by messing up someone’s night and just irritate a person- absolutely it is not a good way of enjoying these offers. Take it easy guys.

We should always remember that there’s always limitation set in everything (even in having fun) so we may not fully drowned with it. Let us use these global innovations wisely and sensibly. How nice if we could send one, two, three or even 100 messages of knowledge a day. We can help people, we can also learn from them. Texting is not bad- just be responsible and ultimately learn as a user!
