The Lovely Ukulele

There is nothing new about the Ukulele. but the Uke is relatively new in my life since I met a few friends that play this lovely instrument. In my younger days many of my friends played guitar or banjo. Not so much anymore. But more people are becoming familiar with and interested in the Ukulele. I hope after reading this lens you will at least know more about this lovely little instrument and at best you will become a fan like I am.

Buying A Ukulele

Cheap Ukuleles Are Just For Fun

Buying a ukulele can be a very tricky task - particularly if you're buying one for the first time.

There are four main sizes of ukulele. From smallest to largest, they are: Soprano, Concert Tenor, and Baritone. Beginners usually start with a Soprano.

In my shopping for a Ukulele, I discovered that the cheaper Uke's either can't be tuned or won't hold a tune for very long. If you want to buy a Ukulele to play and enjoy, skip the cheap ones.
