Tired of Losing Your USB Drives?

Updated on October 20, 2014

Wear your USB and Stop Losing your Data

I love technology, and the fact that I can carry around more than 8 gigabytes of data and information in a tiny micro USB device blows me away. It's just that reason that also make me nervous. USB sticks are getting smaller and smaller and I have a habit of losing and misplacing them all over the house.

The solution to my forgetfulness and data solution is USB jewelry. Flashdrive jewelry is very popular for both men and women. USB bracelets are popular gifts for college students who collect a variety of colors, one for each class and wear them every day. Just check Amazon and you will find dozens of different bracelet designs and if you get bored with the color you can change bands to match your wardrobe.

If bracelets aren't your style than try a USB necklace instead encrusted with diamonds and jewels. There is something for everyone and every budget.

(example from Amazon)

Unique USB Jewelry - Unique jewelry serves a double purpose

The college kids and teenagers can keep their silicon wristbands (ok I might wear one with sports clothes) but I'll wear a gold and diamond USB necklace thank you very much.

Electronics don't have to be boring or dull. We have gotten used to computers and technology being plain and boring. But look out world because technology and fashion have collided.

Seriously no one would ever know these designer necklaces are storing photographs, documents, and files. In a way this is kinda feels like being a James Bond 007 spy carrying around secrets.

This silver crystal embedded necklace can hold 8GB of photos and data. It's not only functional but pretty.

Unique USB Flash Drives - Necklaces with Memory Chips

I do love jewelry and growing up I remember ladies wearing large pendents around their neck which flipped opened as a watch, or even a lip gloss container. At the time I thought I would never wear anything so gaudy.

My godmother had a ladybug necklace and when you squeezed the wings it opened to a watch, I thought it was so cool. This one doubles as a mini USB drive.

Heck it's not gaudy, it's convenient I would now wear them.

Casual with a touch of class, this multi-color bracelet doubles not only as a fashion accessory but computer storage, a whopping 8 GIG worth.

Wristbands and USB Bracelets - Fashionable Bracelets with a Purpose

Advances in technology have made electronics cheaper and cheaper all the time. These fashionable USB flash drives are economical enough to give as graduation gifts and put in Christmas stockings for all the kids, without breaking the budget.

Seriously, where were these when I was in college. I'd much rather wear a USB drive on my wrist than be digging in the bottom of my purse or trying to remember which coat pocket I stuck my memory stick. I can't tell you how many of those I've lost over the years. Good thing the files were only back ups.

Flash Drive Bracelets

PNY 8GB Attaché Flash Drive Bracelet with 4 Interchangeable Designs (Pink & Yellow)

Four interchangeable designs in two bracelets. Technology doesn't have to be boring.

Waterproof and silicone means you can be trapped in a rain storm on your bike and you don't have to worry about deleting data.

They are cheap and inexpensive too, great for kids and athletes.

Can't say that about your iPhone. Choose from several different colors and designs.

Penguin USB Flash Drive

My daughter used this little penguin USB drive all during her senior year. Occasionally I found his head stuck in the computer and it made me laugh.

Fun USB Flash Drives - Other fun and unique flash drive keychains

Maybe jewelry isn't your thing, maybe fun and playful is more your style. Last year I gave my daughter a penguin memory stick and her step sister "Finding Nemo", they were both seniors in high school and I thought they would be cute gifts for college. Practical and fun.

They are cute, but also a little morbid when you pop off their head. Sadistic in a way, kinda like eating the head of a gingerbread cookie first.

The nice thing about these novelty USB keychains is they can be attached to key lanyards which make them harder to lose.

I had five kids at home one year and my stepson would eat pizza everyday, so a USB drive shaped like a pizza slice was VERY appropriate. Don't know if he actually used it for school, or if he tried to eat it, but it was cute and the kids all got a laugh over what USB they received in their stockings.

My step daughter loves the Disney movie Nemo so when I say this USB clown fish I snatched it right up.

My oldest son likes the Batman series and you can also find a Batman shaped USB drive. So there is a character and USB memory stick for every personality.

I'm missing several. I always manage to misplace them, it seems. What a great idea this is. I do like some of those necklaces, although I never wear jewelry. Now if one of those designs came on a key fob, I'd really like it! Thank you so much for introducing this concept.

I want the rose necklace or the penguin, My daughter will want the penguin for sure! There are so many to choose from. They are all awesome. I bring photos down for my Mom to see and lenses as she does not remember how to use the computer. So we play the flash drive on her photo frame and then we will start to show her the lenses on the laptop. Great lens!
