20 March 2013 with Withings Smart Body Analyzer

Withings WS-50 Smart Body Analyzer

Withings wireless scales have been a popular fitness gadget for several years. Now they've come out with the latest model the WS-50 Smart Body Analyzer.

Like previous models, the Withings will track your weight and body fat and wirelessly update to your computer.

But the WS-50 is more that just a smart scale.

As well as measuring your weight and body fat, this scale monitors your heart rate and also tests the air quality of your environment.

I've been dithering over whether to get a wireless scale. I'm a stats addict and love this sort of thing.

The Withings WS-50 is available to pre-order for a May 2013 release date.

Roku 3 - Streaming Video Player

Roku 3 Streaming Media Player (2014 model)
Roku 3 Streaming Media Player (2014 model)

The Roku 3 is the latest version of the popular streaming video player. You can get access to tons of content through services like Netflix, Amazon Instant Video and Hulu. (Maybe you don't even need that cable package anymore.)

The Roku 3 has a slick new UI and updated hardware. There's also a headphone jack on the enhanced remote control for the Roku 3 so you can watch your shows without disturbing anyone else. Neat idea.

The Roku 3 makes a great gift to a TV and movie fan who likes to have a constant supply of new and old stuff to watch on their own schedule.
