Vizio 80 Inch LED Smart TV

Updated on January 31, 2014

When we bought our 50 inch TV a few years ago it seemed fantastic, but when I saw my cousins 80 inch TV recently it was completely amazing. Even more amazing is the fact that it cost less than $4,000.

The LCD picture is brilliant and makes everything look lifelike and the screen is very thin. You can read the technical specs on the Vizio website or on Amazon, but the important things are the built-in Wi-Fi and the fact that it is cheap to run - not like our 50 inch plasma that munches heaps of electricity.

You can hang it on the wall or place it on a stand, but you are going to be impressed with the crystal-clear HD images with their razor-sharp precision. This smart TV has hundreds of apps – it has VIZIO Internet Apps Plus that open up a massive amount of streaming content. Not just movies and TV shows, but music and more are accessed through an intuitive user interface.

This TV can stream Netflix, Amazon instant video, YouTube and WebVideos. It has HuluPlus, facebook, eBay, flickr, Pandora, Crackle and much more. With such a big screen you want want to go out to the cinema anymore when you can stay in the comfort of your own home.

If you buy this TV through Amazon you will get free technical support for 30 days, which is planty of time to check you have everything set up correctly and can access everything you should be able to.

You might want to make rules on who gets the remote, because everyone is going to want to spend time with this monster smart TV.
