World of Goo Game Review for Android

If you’re not already a fan of physics puzzle games, World of Goo by 2D Boy might just make you fall in love with the genre. After sweeping all the rewards for its Wii, iOS and PC releases, the game is now available to be played on Android. As new mobile device users flock to purchase the amazing new app, the Internet is filled with yet another surge of satisfied players and positive reviews.

The goal of the game is to deliver “living, squirming, talking” globs of goo to an exit pipe. In true tradition of the puzzle game genre, World of Goo features a variety of terrain obstacles including, but not limited to mountains, rocky cliffs and spikes. To overcome progressively harder sets of challenges, the game equips players with an ever-increasing arsenal of goo balls, each with different properties.

Apart from that, the players are left to using only their imagination to battle the game’s ingenious puzzles. World of Goo provokes creative thought and rewards flexible thinking not only with level-progression, but a true sense of fulfillment.

Featuring five different chapters, spanning four seasons and one virtual world, World of Goo is comprised of 48 unique levels. Each stage seems to evoke the most surprising solutions and leaves you craving for new challenges. The most amazing part of this game may not be the actual puzzles, but the realization that you are the mastermind behind their ingenious solutions.

The increasing levels of difficulty are challenging, but balanced. There are no impossible, ‘broken’ puzzles running the risk of leaving the players confused and frustrated, instead of genuinely engaged. Only quality gameplay that touches on the puzzle-solver strings of every Android user in the world.

You will also find that this little game has a lot of replay value. To satisfy the sense of accomplishment in the most skilled of World of Goo enthusiasts, the game awards unique accomplishments to players who complete every level with more demanding requirements. Finally, the sandbox mode called World of Goo Corporation will make the ending a bit less of an issue for all the competitive Andorid players out there.

World of Goo is complimented nicely by an actual storyline, complete with cutscenes and dialogue, which will keep you engaged despite all your preconceptions regarding the expected engagement level goo should provide. It might just be that you won’t ever get tired of seeing it.

Players have praised the simple, yet beautiful artwork featured in World of Goo. The game mechanics and challenging puzzles might be at the core of the main gameplay, but the animated goo characters is what really helps bring this Andorid app to life and improves the overall user experience.

With its challenging, engaging and polished gameplay, World of Goo is one of the major contenders on the Android mobile app scene. Once this amazing physics-based puzzle game has made its way onto your mobile device, you will find yourself unable to uninstall it even after beating all of the ingenious levels, unique obstacles and creative designs.
