10 most beautiful beaches in the world

Updated on September 30, 2014

Where are the most beautiful beaches in the world?

The world has a lot of beautiful beaches and there are hundreds of known and unknown beaches around the world. I am sure that most of you love summer. And great dilemma is where to spend summer vacation. Of course, first problem is the money, but when you take care of that, you start to think where to go.

Here are some ideas - I will show you some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Maybe you will find it useful or at least you will enjoy in beautiful photos.

1. Seychelles - Fregate Island Private

I will start with this paradise on Earth. Northeast of Madagascar in the western Indian Ocean are located Seychelles. Eden archipelago consisting of 115 islands, and only 33 are populated. Island nation in the western Indian Ocean, located about 1,600 km from the coast of Africa.

They are known for its beautiful sandy beaches, coral reefs, granite islands, friendly and hospitable population. The sandy beaches are one of the most beautiful in the world, incredible birds and plant species that are considered to have outlived million years.

Mahe is the largest island stands out for its excellent shopping in the capital city of Victoria, Morne Seychellois National Park, historic ruins of Mission and tea plantations Morne Blanco.

One of the most beautiful beaches is located four degrees south of the equator, Fregate Island Private. This used to be a popular pirate's destination. There are some rare and endangered birds species on this beautiful island.

2. Australia - Whitehaven

This is the beach with the whitest sand you have ever seen. You can enjoy long walks on the coast long for 7 kilometers. After the experience of beauty and serenity you will probably develop a completely new approach to nature.

Whitehaven Beach is located on the largest island of the Whitsunday group of island in Australia. Sand from this beach is used for making the Hubble telescope.

It is especially nice to see how this beach looks like at high tide and at low tide.

3. Brazil - Beach Fernando de Noronha

About 320 kilometers northeast from coast of Brazil lies the mountain archipelago consisting of 21 islands - Fernando de Noronha. With its crystal clear water and rich underwater world, the archipelago is acting like it's from another world.

The main island is sparsely populated, with only 1,500 inhabitants. The portuguese conquerors in 1500 called it its present name and built a fort whose remains are visible until this day.

4. Philippines - White beach, Boracay

Boracay is good for many things. The island is so small that you can see the whole island with one bycicle ride. White beach is amazing. Sand is perfect. No stones, no rocks or any dirt. In front of a few expensive hotels are daily made real fortress of sand. It looks fantastic.

There is a keeper at every sand fortress so that kids or competitors don't ruin it. In the evening you can watch how ten years old children make these sand masterpieces.

Sunset is indescribable.

5.Greece - Red Beach, Santorini

Santorini (also known as Thira) is spectacularly loctaed on the edge of an inactiive volcano. Many believe that in this place started the legend about Atlantis. Along with Mykonos, Santorini is one of the most expensive islands in Greece, but exceptional towns of Fira and Oia are truly phenomenal and unique. Thanks to the volcanic soil most beaches - Perissa and Karman are most familiar with - have a hot black sand / gravel, and the water is clear and clean.

One of the most interesting is the narrow Red Beach (Red Beach), with a small red sand partially covered with wooden shavings that keep it cool, crystal water and rocks that offer little action for snorkel divers.

6. Mexico - Tulum beach

This place is one of the first recorded summer resorts in Central America. The Mayans wisely had chosen this piece of coast as a resort. Dream about how your feet enjoy the white sand, the body relaxes into the crystal water and the eyes on the magnificent view of the white pyramid becomes a reality here.

Tulum is located 128 kilometers south of Cancun, from which there are organized day trips. Mysterious Mayan ruins, beautiful beaches of white sand, warm Caribbean Sea and the magnificent sunrises will prove to you that this is a strange place imbued with magic and secrets that only the Mayans know.

7. Brazil - Copacabana Beach

The most famous beach in Brazil, and certainly one of the most famous in the world is the Copacabana beach. Copacabana is located on the eastern coast of Brazil and took full advantage of the fantastic weather conditions throughout the year, one of the reasons why millions of tourists visit this beach every year.

Copacabana beach looks endlessly with its 4 km length. At both ends of the beach are the old forts, now tourist attractions, Fort Copacabana on the south side, built in the 1914, and Posto Seis and Fort Duque de Caxias at the northern end, built back in the 1779. Entire length of Copacabana promenade is filled with attractive hotels, restaurants, bars and night clubs, which are well known by many tourists around the world.

8. Bermuda - Horseshoe Bay

The most expensive place for beach is right here in Bermuda. Thousands of tourists visit this amazing place each year, either in search of adventure or inner peace. Crystal clear water of the Atlantic Ocean and pink sand make this beach what many others do not.

However, despite its quiet appearance in the water is hidden dangerous sea current, which is the reason why rescuers work here from May to October, from early morning until late evening. On this beach is almost always a big crowd, but you can "squeeze" in a small cove on the western part, where there aren't so many people. The water is shallow and protected, and this bay makes an ideal place for children.

9. French Polynesia - Bora Bora

This idyllic tropical island has beautiful beaches, swaying palm trees and lovely blue lagoon. Pearl of the Pacific Ocean, the nearest place of heaven on earth, the island of dreams. Bora Bora consists of volcanic peaks, lagoons, sand, unspoiled nature and excellent hotels. This little piece of heaven on earth was discovered back in the 1777 by the famous adventurer and seafarer James Cook.

Gorgeous, white sand beaches, the sea in which you will see real gardens of chorales and sacred realm of undersea colors are just some of the reasons why Bora Bora is often called the most beautiful island in the world.

One of the most popular adventure on Bora Bora is feeding the sharks and rays. There are many ways in which you can do that, but generally everything is going in the shallows. Of course, all the time you have professional people to avoid dangerous situations.

10. France - Saint Tropez

Saint Tropez is a small port on the Mediterranean Sea, which is annually visited by more than five million tourists. Valid for popular and favorite tourist destination among the rich and famous movie stars.

Today this place is a symbol of hedonism and all that money can afford. The most beautiful beaches stretch in the Baie de Pampelonne, about a mile and a half from the town, and are distinguished by soft sand. Along Saint Tropez are golden sandy beaches. Most of them provide very good conditions for surfing, sailing, water skiing, canoeing, diving.

I was a bit disappointed, but not surprised, that there were no Scottish beaches on the list. Try Calgary Bay on the Island of Mull. Maybe not, best we keep it a secret anyway.
