1. MOUNT LAVINIA:

2. KALUTARA:

3. ARUGAM BAY:

5. NEGOMBO:
This modest beach town is counted in the best sand beaches of the world. Situated at a distance of just 7km from Bandaranaike international airport, it is an easy-to-reach location for the tourists. The capital city of Colombo is approximately 37 km away for this beach. A calm sea, best fishing regions and its location at Negombo lagoon makes the beach a good place to visit in Sri Lanka.

6. BERUWALA:
Beruwala is famous for its big fishing center and south western coastal belt, consisting of fist ever beach resort of the area. It is present in the south of Colombo, 55km away from it. Bandaranaike International Airport is at a distance of 92 km. so, you can reach the beach areas of Beruwala within a few hours.

7. BENTOTA:
The city comprises of rural parts, dominating its total area. Divinely planted coconut trees looks awesome while the pure environment attracts the tourists to visit this place.

8. KOGGALA:
Koggala renowned surfing destination and a major tourist attraction of Sri Lanka. Being a small village, the rural area dominates over the urban buildings.

9. UNAWATUNA:
Spread over one-kilometer radius, this beach is in semi-circular shape. The beach is well-known for the sea turtle vegetation, which is easily observable from the place.

10. WELIGAMA:
If fishing is your hobby, you must visit this small village. Located in the East of Galle, the place is peaceful and fantastic.

11. POLHENA:
Situated in Matara, the beach is very quite and hence, the best area for swimming. So, tourists like to spend their time at this beach, to fetch some minutes of calmness.

12. VANKALAI:
Located in Mannar, this beach is the part of Northern Province in Sri Lanka. It is significantly famous for fishing activities but overly crowded.

13. KILAALY BEACH:

      Well i would like to head there now. Great pictures and descriptions of some nice waterscapes. I had always been curious about the former Ceylon. Arthur C Clarke - one of my favorite writers when I was younger - made his home there.
